How To Register
Central Library Training Lab
All classes are free. Please call if you have questions or click here to see the B&ECPL Internet Policy. A wheelchair accessible workstation is available.
- Registration
Because space is limited, you must pre-register. Reservations are not accepted more than one month prior to class date. Find a class for which to register...
Register for Central Library workshops in person at the Central Library Borrower Services Desk or call (716) 858-7132 Monday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
In order to facilitate greater access to public training sessions, individuals may only register two times per workshop.
We ask that you let us know if you will not be able to attend a workshop for which you have registered. Persons who do not cancel within 24 hours of a class may jeopardize their chances of registering for future classes. No admittance 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. After that, stand-by registrants will be accommodated.
Youth under the age of 17 need parental permission consistent with the B&ECPL Internet Safety and Acceptable Use Policy to register for a hands-on Internet workshop. To give permission, a parent or guardian must come to the library to sign a Parental Consent Form.
Persons who did not pre-register for classes must report to Borrower Services (1st Floor, adjacent to the Washington Street entrance) no later than 5 minutes before class time to receive a "Central Library Computer Training Lab Walk-in Pass". The receipt of this pass, however, is no guarantee of a place in the class. There still needs to be space available after all registrants and "stand-by" registrants have been accommodated. The participant must also bring their pass to the Training Lab before the "No Admittance" time (10 minutes after the class has started).
- Cancellations
Classes may be cancelled without prior notice due to technical or other difficulties. If possible, registrants will be notified. For snow or other emergency closing announcements, call the Central Library Automated Attendant at 858-8900 or listen to the radio or television.
- Training Lab Location
Take the escalator or elevator to the second floor and follow signs to the Training Lab.
