The Death And Life of Charlie St. Cloud by Ben Sherwood

Charlie St. Cloud narrowly survives a car accident that kills his little brother, Sam. Charlie is given the wonderful gift of being able to see, talk and play ball with Sam years after his brother's death. Charlie meets Tess who eventually helps him to make a desperate choice between life and death. This is the best book I have read in a long time!
