A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Bridget Quinn-Carey
My time here at B&ECPL has been filled with meeting the people that keep the doors open, visitors directed and assisted, materials ordered, processed, delivered and put on the shelves, computers operating, buildings clean, programs running, numbers crunched, questions answered, order and safety in the buildings, bills paid, reports filed and all the other business of this amazing institution. And these efforts are all to ensure that the people that come streaming through the doors each day, calling on the phone and using our resources from their homes and offices are well served.
It is all about the people -- from the inside out and outside in -- who we serve, how we serve them, and what they need. I see the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library system leading the way and bringing people, learning, experience and communities together in a way that hasn't been done before. Your ideas and suggestions are the key to making this plan work, and as I visit libraries in the system and meet our users, I want to hear from you.
I continue to be excited about our future, and look forward to working with you to build this -- together.
