NEW HOURS FOR 2017!

Located on Main Street in the picturesque Village of Angola. Wheelchair accessible. Street parking and parking lot across the street available.

Public Access Computers: 9 computers,  6  laptops, networked (printing 10 cents per page B&W, 25 cents Color) Microsoft Office Applications, Internet Access, Misc. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

Study Room, Copy Machine: B&W Copy Machine:15 cents per page. Fax Service available.  Radio Receiver for the visually impaired.

What's Special About the Angola Public Library?

Located just 2 miles from the shores of Lake Erie the library welcomes a large influx of summer residents.  It is the perfect place to come to check out a wide variety of books, magazine, DVD's, Blu-Rays, Audiobooks and CD's or use the computers.

We have the Angola Record, a local newspaper, from 1879-1937 on an external hard drive.

Lake Shore Central Year Books are available for in library use.

ON-GOING PROGRAMS

ADULT COLORING

Looking to relax after a long day? Curious about the coloring craze, but not crazy about spending money on coloring supplies? Come to the library! All supplies will be provided or you may bring your own project. Registration requested but not necessary. Call 549-1271.

    Dates are every Friday at 10:30 a.m. and every 2nd  Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.

 

PRESCHOOL STORY TIME

Come to story time with Miss Erin!  Read books, learn rhymes, do simple crafts and more!  Ages 2 - 5.

ANGOLA LIBRARY BOOKMARK CONTEST

Love to read? Kids, every time you visit the library and take out a book, receive a sticker on your bookmark.  Earn 4 stickers, get a prize! It's that easy.

LEGO CLUB

Do you love to Lego?  Use your imagination to build amazing projects that are then displayed in the library.   Ages 5-13.  All supplies provided.

  • Book a Technology Trainer:  Saturday, June 10th. Sessions will be offered at 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Need computer assistance? We can help. Register for a one-on-one 45 minute session with a technology trainer on a variety of subjects.   • Fossils of WNY:  Monday, July 10th at 6:30 p.m. Presented by Jerry Bastedo.  Come see and learn about fossils and dinosaur bones found locally and world-wide. Go on a fossil dig and take one home.  Bring a rock or fossil for identification.  Registration required.  Call 549-1271.

  • Aquarium of Niagara Touch Tank:  Saturday, August 12th at 1:00 p.m.  Learn about and get to TOUCH live sea creatures!  Animals may include a sea urchin, horseshoe crab, lobster and more. Ages 2 and up. Registration required.  Called 549-1271.  

  • Seismic Shakeup:  Monday, August 14th at 6:30  p.m.  Earthquakes are common throughout the world resulting in the destruction of buildings, roads, bridges and other structures.  Design and build your own earthquake-proof structures and then put it to the test on our earthquake simulator! For ages 8-12.  Please register as space is limited. 

  • Let's Build It!:  Thursday, August 17th at 6:30 p.m.  Join us for stories, crafts and fun activities about construction.  For ages 3-6.  Please register as space is limited.  Call 549-1271.
