NEW HOURS FOR 2017!

Located on Main Street in the picturesque Village of Angola. Wheelchair accessible. Street parking and parking lot across the street available.

Public Access Computers: 9 computers,  6  laptops, networked (printing 10 cents per page B&W, 25 cents Color) Microsoft Office Applications, Internet Access, Misc. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

Study Room, Copy Machine: B&W 15 cents. Color 25 cents. Fax Service available.  Radio Receiver for the visually impaired.

What's Special About the Angola Public Library?

Located just 2 miles from the shores of Lake Erie the library welcomes a large influx of summer residents.  It is the perfect place to come to check out a wide variety of books, magazine, DVD's, Blu-Rays, Audiobooks and CD's or use the computers.

We have the Angola Record, a local newspaper, from 1879-1937 on an external hard drive.

Lake Shore Central Year Books are available for in library use.

LEGO CLUB

Do you love to Lego?  Use your imagination to build amazing projects that are then displayed in the library.   Ages 5-13.  All supplies provided.

  • Preschool Story Time: Thursday, November 2nd at 6:30 PM.  Picture books, rhymes, crafts and more with Miss Erin. Ages 2-5.

  • Movie Night: Friday, November 3rd, at 5:30pm, join us for a free showing of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales".  This movie is rated PG-13. Registration requested.  Call 549-1271 Popcorn and water provided.

  •  Angola Public Library Board Meeting: Tuesday, November 7th at 6:00pm. Meeting of the Angola Public Library Board of Trustees.                                 

  • Moving & Grooving with Miss Laurie:  Wednesday, November 8th at 6:30 PM.  Miss Laurie presents lively, entertaining programs for children.  Registration required.                    

  • Evans Garden Club:  Tuesday, November 14th at 7 PM. Workshop for decorating Evans Town Hall for the holidays.

  • LIBRARY CLOSED: Friday, November 10th, and Saturday November 11th the library will be closed in honor of Veteran's Day.

  • Take Flight:  Thursday, November 30th at 6:30pm. Children ages 8-12 can build a plane and a rocket to learn about the forces of flight: lift, weight, thrust and drag.  Fun experiments and activities to see how each force can affect how an object moves through the air. Registration required. December 2017

  • Liberwyrms Book Club:  Tuesday, December 5th from 10 AM to 12PM.  The book for discussion this month is Great small things by Jodi Picoult.

  • Board Meeting:  Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00 PM.  A regular meeting of the Angola Public Library Board of Trustees.

  • What Did the Scarecrow See?:   Thursday, December 7th at 6:30 PM. Scarecrow and friends will discover fall changing into winter. Children 3-6 will experience stories, songs, activities and crafts associated with the seasons. Please call 549-1271 to register for this special program.

  • Christmas in the Village:  Dec. 9th from 12-3 p.m. Christmas in the Village at the Angola Library. Make an ornament, write a letter to Santa, and enter a free drawing for a chance to win a prize.

  • Graham Cracker Houses:  Thursday, December 14th with sessions at 6 & 7 PM. Come build a special graham cracker house for the holidays. This free event is presented by Explore & More, a Children's Museum and sponsored by a grant from Marks Family Foundation. All supplies are provided. Registration is required as space is limited.   • United Healthcare Medicare Solutions:  Friday, December 15th from 10 AM to 1:00 PM. Are you ready for Medicare? Now's the time to learn more. A representative from United Healthcare will be here to present information and applications.
