Ongoing Fall Events

  • Book Babies - Tuesdays @ 11:30am from September 12 to October 17.  For newborns to 21/2 year olds.  Join us for rhymes, songs and stories!  Please register.
  • Toddler Time - Tuesdays @ 10:30am from September 12 to October 17.  For ages 21/2 to 31/2.  Treat your toddler to some songs and stories!  Toddlers must bring an adult lap to sit on.  Registration required.
  • Preschool Story Time - Fridays @ 10:30am from September 15 to October 20.  For ages 31/2 to 51/2.  Prepare your child for school!  We'll be doing stories, games and crafts!  Registration required.

  • Solar Eclipse Viewing Party - Monday, August 21 @ 1:00-4:00pm.  For all ages.  Pop in anytime and grab a pair of eclipse viewing glasses to enjoy the eclipse outdoors.  Maximum partial eclipse viewing will happen at 2:33 pm.  We will also be screening the live NASA video feed of the eclipse with some stellar snacks provided! 
  • Elma Library Cookbook Club - Wednesday, August 23 @ 6:00pm.  Join us for our monthly cookbook club!  Meet fellow foodies, cookbook enthusiasts and wonderful people that will enrich your culinary interests!  This month's featured cookbook is Good Food to Share by Sara Kate Gillingham-Ryan.  Sign up by stopping in or by calling 652-2719.
  • Family Movie Night - Friday, August 25 @ 6:30pm.  Rated PG.  Join us for family movie night at the Elma Public Library!  Click here to see movie title.
  • Adult Coloring - Monday, August 28 @ 6:30pm.  For ages 18+.  Join us at the Elma Public Library for a relaxing and fun evening of coloring and creativity.  All coloring materials will be provided.  Registration required.


  • The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer's Disease - Monday, September 11 @ 6:00-7:00pm.  If someone you know is affected by Alzheimer's disease or dementia, it's good to learn the facts.  This seminar provides information on detection, risk factors, stages of disease and treatment.  Please call 652-2719 to register.
  • Teen Book Club - Monday, September 11 @ 6:30pm.  For ages 11-17.  Our choice for September is Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher.  Join us for a lively discussion!  Bring a friend!  Snacks will be provided.  Please pre-register.
  • Library Fun Club - Wednesday, September 13 @ 6:30pm.  For grades K-3.  Join us for stories, games and crafts!  Please pre-register.
  • Elma Lego Club - Saturday, September 16 @ 1:00pm.  For ages 6-12.  The theme for September is "Under the Sea."  Bring a friend!  Registration required. 
  • All-You-Can-Make Art Bar - Monday, September 18 @ 6:30pm.  For ages 11-15.  We provide the supplies and you get creative!  Bring a friend to join in the fun!  Registration required. 
  • Elma Book Club - Wednesday, September 20 @ 6:30pm.  Join us for an evening of lively discourse!  We will be discussing A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.  Refreshments will be provided.  Please register.

Book Sale Donations

Gently used books in good condition will be accepted during library hours.  Please no text books, Reader's Digests, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, or cassette tapes.  Donate used books at the Elma Library, at the corner of Bowen & Rice Road or call 652-2719.
