Located on the corner of Highland Avenue, three blocks south of the 20A/277 intersection. Wheelchair accessible. Parking lot available.

All computers are networked, including 2 laptops with wireless printing and a workstation with a flatbed scanner available. All computers have Microsoft Office 2007 Applications, Internet Access, Misc. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

Meeting Room

Capacity 50. Wireless internet access point in room for excellent WiFi. Meeting room is also equipped for multimedia presentations. Used for library programs, available for use by nonprofit organizations (registration required call 662-9851).

The Orchard Park Library has spaces available for a variety of uses from quiet study areas to tables for homework help or personal computing.

What's Special About the Orchard Park Library

Located adjacent to the historic 1920s Railroad Depot Station, the Orchard Park Library serves southern Erie County as a center for reference and homework help with its large non-fiction collection. It has an extensive fiction, DVD and audio book collection. The children's collection is highlighted by innovative special displays and an interactive play area.  A chessboard is available for public use.

Special programs for all ages, story times for children and computer classes are offered continually.

And finally and most importantly, it is our knowledgeable and responsive staff that makes our library so effective, friendly and welcoming.

Our Friends of the Orchard Park Public Library is the largest and most active Friends group in Erie County. They sponsor the 4th Tuesday speaker series, many of our special children's programs, quarterly donated book sales, an annual rare book sale and ongoing Book Nook, Cart and online book sales (www.ebay.com/usr/oplibrary).  Friends have purchased many shelves, display
units and other equipment that make this library so special. New members

Children's Events

Early Bird Toddler Time begins at 10:00 am on Mondays from May 15th —June 19th - A fun and gentle introduction to reading and group activities geared for children age 2. This program features age appropriate stories, activities, music & movement and a craft. Registration begins Monday, April 24th. Registration is required. Class is FULL. 
 
Little Later Toddler Time Class begins at 11:00 am on Mondays from May 15th—June 19th. A fun and gentle introduction to reading and group activities geared for children age 2. This program features age appropriate stories, activities, music & movement and a craft. Registration begins Monday, April 24th.
Registration is required. 
 
Preschool Story Time begins at 10:30am on Tuesdays from May 16th—June 20th.your child get excited about reading and develop preschool readiness skills at the library! This program features several age appropriate books, and hands-on activities that reinforce the themes of the stories! Get ready for school and have fun at the library! Registration begins Monday, April 24th.is required.  Class is FULL.
 
Independent Preschool Story Time Sessions are at 10:30am on Thursdays from May 18th—June 22nd. Help your child get excited about reading and develop preschool readiness skills at the library with several age appropriate books, hands-on activities that reinforce the themes of the stories! Children at this story time are encouraged to attend independently while their caregiver enjoys the library! Registration begins Monday, April 24th.
 
Lapsit Story Hours Lapsit begins at 10:30am on Fridays from May 18th through June 22nd.class will introduce toddlers ages 6—18 months to reading and group activities from the comfort and security of your lap! Caregivers are encouraged to help their child participate in the age appropriate stories, activities and music. Registration begins Monday, April 25th and is required. 
 
Make It Monday Mondays at 4:30pm from Monday May 15th through June 19th.Miss Carly and friends for a different craft or activity challenge every week! Use your creative problem solving and your imagination to create, invent or build! Registration is required.
 
National Train Day Celebration On May 20th at 1pm we celebrate National Train Day at the Orchard Park Library! Come celebrate with train stories, activities and by building and painting your own train to take home! Weather permitting, all events will be outside at the Orchard Park Train Depot. A fun family program geared for ages 10 & under. Registration is required.

One Community One Book presents The Boys in the Boat at the Orchard Park Public Library Monday May 22nd at 7pm Local speaker Bob Poczik, who has given a number of well-received talks at the Clarence Library and throughout the community, will use words and vivid images to help us better understand the impact of the Great Depression, the challenges faced by the scrappy rowers, and the face that Nazi Germany showed to the world at the time of the 1936 Olympics. Build A Hideout for Trolls Saturday June 17th  at 10am! Play outside rain or shine! Gather materials on the Library's lawn to construct a house for tiny trolls! Recommended for ages 12 and under. Registration is required.

Adult Events

Book a Technology Trainer Tuesday June 20th 1pm-4pm Do you need assistance with your computer? These 45 minute sessions are designed to assist with software support or Internet training. Call 662-9851 for more details or to register for a time slot. 

Adult Coloring Club will meet on the 4th Monday of each month at 6pm - 8:30pm in the meeting room.  This club is for adults ages 17 and over to stop in, unplug, and engage in some meditative coloring to increase mental focus and reduce stress. Coloring supplies will be provided, but you may certainly bring your own. Different coloring pages will be provided each meeting.  No registration is required.

All Ages Events

Cookbook Club! Join us Thursday June 15th at 7pm at the Orchard Park Library to meet fellow foodies, cookbook enthusiasts and wonderful people that will enrich your culinary interests! Open to adults and children of all ages! Get ready for a fun and entertaining potluck book discussion. There is always a copy at the front desk available to browse and make photocopies. Registration is required.
