Most Popular, Borrowed Materials from Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries

New category “People’s Choice”

Have you read any of the books deemed most popular by Buffalo & Erie County Public Library cardholders? For the first time, the yearend list includes a book about Buffalo which was also published in Buffalo. And, there is a “People’s Choice” selection for best book of the year. The tallies represent borrowing habits of library patrons from all 37 local public libraries in 2015. They include the most popular and most requested book titles, along with the top downloaded eBook.

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System has more than 3 million materials available for borrowing through the 37-branch system including downloadable eBooks, music and video, DVDs and books on CD. Free library card applications can be downloaded 24/7 and taken to any local public library for processing. A valid form of identification and proof of address are necessary. Those under 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to obtain a library card and the guardian is required to have valid identification.
