Amherst Public Library Wins 2017 Battle of the Books

Amherst Readers take the Gold for 2nd Consecutive Year

The winner of the 2017 Battle of the Books competition, for the second year in a row, is Amherst Public Library.  The runner-up team is Grand Island Memorial Library.  This year’s 19th annual Battle of the Books trivia event featured more than 150 local teen and preteen readers representing 14 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries. Each read the same five books and then gathered at ECC South this past weekend to answer trivia questions about each book.  The final round paired Amherst against Grand Island teams.
