Manga Art Workshop (Youth Events)
Editorial cartoonist Tom Fox will present a workshop for Middle School students based on the Japanese manga style that is so popular in today’s graphic novels. Participants are invited to bring in their sketch books and drawings for critique. Space is limited. To register, please call the library at 937-7082.

Soil Testing Clinic (Other)
Have your soil tested to determine the pH. Presented by Cooperative Extension Master Gardener, Dr. Janet Pope and David Stout. Please bring 1/2 cup of air dried soil (preferably dried in the sun). You may bring in samples from more than one area of your property. Grow fantastic flowers and more vigorous veggies. Fee for Clinic is $1.00.

Spring Plant Swap (Other)
Bring seeds, cuttings or anything else that will grow! If you wish, you can tell us what you hope to bring or what you hope to find at the exchange when you register. Be sure to provide descriptions of your plants and care instructions for each plant. The exchange will be in our carpeted meeting room, so please bring tidy, easily exchangeable units. If you don’t have anything to exchange, you are invited to stop by after the exchange to see if there are leftover plants. (Doors open at 11:30 a.m. so you can chat and get organized) Register Now!

Celebrate Children’s Book Week (Family Programs)
Tales from the Story Hat with Annemarie Jason. For children of all ages (no registration necessary). Prepare to be delighted and entertained as Annemarie Jason spins stories from simple objects that children find on her story hat. This program is a participatory family event featuring stories, rhymes and songs from around the world. Funded by the Friends of the Elma Public Library.
