PRESS RELEASESMEDIA ADVISORYRibbon-Cutting Ceremony To Be Held for New Western New York Homeland Security Information CenterWHAT: Western New York Homeland Security Information Center A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held to observe the opening of the Central Library's new Western New York Homeland Security Information Center. With support from New York State Senator Dale Volker , the Western New York Library Resources Council has established these information centers at three regional public libraries, including downtown Buffalo's Central Library, Niagara Falls Public Library and Prendergrast Library in Jamestown. The free and publicly accessible centers are designed to educate and inform the public with reliable and accurate information relating to the impact of global terrorism in Western New York . Each Western New York Homeland Security Information Center includes a computer, printer and workstation. Additionally, new print resources have been added to the collection. WHEN: Thursday, June 17, 2004 WHERE: Central Library - Business, Science and Technology Department, 2nd Floor, 1 Lafayette Square, Buffalo TIME: 3 p.m. WHO: The event is open to the public. City, County and State public officials have been invited. |
