- Oct. 1st & 2nd
~ More than 30,000 Items Available ~
September 15, 2004 - Buffalo , NY - On Friday, October 1st and Saturday, October 2nd , the Central Library is holding a giant used book sale from 9 am to 5 pm . More than 30,000 items are available, including hardcover and paperback fiction, nonfiction, children's and sightsaving titles. The sale is open to the public and will be located on the ground floor. Occupancy will be limited due to space constraints.
To make room for in-demand, new materials, libraries must sadly remove some oldies, but goodies from their shelves, said Chief Operating Officer Ruth A. Collins . All proceeds from this sale will support library collections and programs.
On Friday, items will be $2.00 per bag. The price will decrease to $1.00 per bag on Saturday. Multi-volume periodical sets will be priced separately. Cash, check or credit cards will be accepted. The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System, comprised of the Central Library, 15 city branches, 36 contract library facilities and mobile and outreach services, is dedicated to enriching Erie County's diverse communities through library resources that enrich, enlighten and entertain.
