CENTRAL LIBRARY HOLDS PUBLIC CD SALE -- Feb. 22nd - March 4th

Buffalo , NY -- Beginning on Tuesday, February 22 nd , the Central Library is holding a CD sale daily from 11 am to 2 pm in the Central Meeting Room. The sale is open to the public and will run through Friday, March 4 th . More than 7,000 brand new CDs are available for $2 each plus sales tax. Genres include Classical, Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Latin, Jazz, Soundtracks, Billboard Compilations and Holiday . Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
The CDs were acquired through the settlement of a price-fixing lawsuit against major record labelers and retailers . The settlement awarded 5.6 million CDs to libraries across the country. All proceeds will benefit the B&ECPL.
The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System, comprised of the Central Library, 15 city branches, 36 contract library facilities and mobile and outreach services, is dedicated to enriching Erie County's diverse communities through library resources that enrich, enlighten and entertain.
