PRESS RELEASESBISTRO BOOKERS PRESENTS SPECIAL NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK EVENT - April 11th~ Exploring the State of Network Television News with WKBW-TV Channel 7 News Anchor Susan Banks ~______________________________________________________________________________ Buffalo, NY -- Bistro Bookers is celebrating National Library Week, April 11 th - 16 th , with a special event featuring WKBW-TV Channel 7 News Anchor Susan Banks reviewing Tom Fenton's book, Bad News: The Decline of Reporting, the Business of News and the Danger to Us All . The book is a hard-hitting examination of the current state of network television news. The presentation will be held at Chef's Restaurant, 291 Seneca Street , on Monday, April 11 th . Attendees are invited to enjoy free hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at 6 p.m. The presentation begins at 6:45 p.m. Following the review, all are welcome to continue conversation over dinner. Bistro Bookers programs explore current non-fiction works, covering the issues of politics, history, health, environment, psychology and society as well as business and economics. Fiction from local authors is also periodically examined. Audiences on average of 80 to 100 people listen to a local expert or the author's discussion of the selected title and are then able to ask questions or offer comments. The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System, comprised of the Central Library, 15 city branches, 36 contract library facilities and mobile and outreach services, is dedicated to connecting Erie County’s diverse communities with library resources that enrich, enlighten and entertain. |
