PRESS RELEASESCENTRAL LIBRARY PRESENTS AN ARTIST VISITWITHSTEPHEN SARACINO – Nov. 19th~ Discussion on “Etruscan Clay and Metal Artifacts ~_______________________________________________________________________________________________________Buffalo , NY --- The Central Library is hosting an artist visit with Buffalo State College Professor of Design/Chair of Design Stephen F. Saracino . The lecture and slide presentation entitled, “Etruscan Clay and Metal Artifacts,” will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 1 pm in the Central Library's Ring of Knowledge. The program will cover a brief history of the Etruscans, discussion of their artifacts and an overview of Saracino's research. The event is free and open to the public. Saracino studied the Etruscan civilization during artist residencies at the Chatauqua Institution in 2000, 2001 and 2002. He has won numerous awards including a fellowship from the New York State Foundation for the Arts in 2001. Stephen Saracino is a 2005 Artists' Fellowship recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). This presentation is co-sponsored by Artists & Audiences Exchange, a public program of NYFA.
