CENTRAL LIBRARY HOSTS BIRTHDAY BASH EVENT TO KICK-OFF SUMMER READING -- June 29 th ~ Celebrating 110 Years of Children's Library Service in Erie County ~ ______________________________________________________________________________ Buffalo, NY -- The Central Library is hosting a birthday bash event to celebrate 110 years of children's library service in Erie County and kick-off the 2006 summer reading program, themed “Books: A Treasure.” Children of all ages are welcome to take part in a number of fun and entertaining activities on Thursday, June 29, 2006 in the Central Library's Children's Room. The event is free and open to the public. Groups over 25 are asked to register ahead of time by calling 858-8900. At 10:30 am , In Jest will present “Searching for Treasure @ Your Library,” a comedy, theatrical, juggling performance that will be sure to delight the entire audience. Birthday cake will be served to all guests at 12:30 pm , followed by crafts at 1 pm and face painting with Coco the Clown at 1:30 pm . Mr. J will conclude the afternoon with a mystifying magic show beginning at 2 pm . For further information, visit www.buffalolib.org or call 858-8900.
