PRESS RELEASESLARGE USED BOOK SALE TO BE HELD AT CENTRAL LIBRARY November 17 th & 18 th Buffalo , NY -- On Friday, November 17 th and Saturday, November 18 th , the Central Library is holding a large used book sale from 9 am to 4 pm . Computer monitors and hard drives that were replaced at library locations are also available at bargain pricing. In addition, an assortment of used office equipment is for sale. A wide selection of children's items will be available, including many picture books, readers, fiction and nonfiction, for $1.00 plus tax. Hardcover fiction, foreign language, nonfiction and young adult fiction titles will also be selling for $1.00 plus tax. Paperbacks are priced at 50 cents plus tax, and reference books are available from $3.00 and up plus tax. A special “Collector's Corner” section will be priced as marked. “For a small investment, teachers can supplement their classrooms and non-profit agencies can bolster their resources by taking advantage of this sale and all it has to offer,” said Development Officer Ruth Collins . The sale is open to the public and will be located on the ground floor. Attendees are asked to enter from Ellicott Street . Occupancy will be limited due to space constraints. All proceeds benefit the Central Library and City of Buffalo Branch Libraries . Cash or credit cards will be accepted. Teachers and non-profit agencies must bring a copy of the school or agency tax-exempt form at the time of purchase.
