PRESS RELEASESBESTSELLING AUTHOR VISITS CENTRAL LIBRARY TO DISCUSS To complement Wallis’ discussion, Buffalo State Professor and Native Dubliner Laurence Shine will introduce the program with a brief presentation on “An Irish War in New Mexico.” A book sale and signing will complete the entertaining and enlightening afternoon. Publishing more than 14 books, winner of a National Book Award and three-time Pulitzer Prize nominee, Wallis is most acclaimed for his best-selling book Route 66 and Pretty Boy Floyd. He is also the host of the new PBS series American Roads as well as an experienced voice man, playing the voice of the sheriff in the animated Pixar feature Cars. The Library is holding this event in partnership with riverrun, inc., which produces cultural programs in the Buffalo area in collaboration with its international partners in Ireland, Italy, France, Belgium and elsewhere.
