Theme: Why Does History Matter?
Kimberley Minkel, Executive Director of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, presented the local history of mass transit and the NFTA as context for anticipated future plans for the transit system and current issues such as expanding the Light Rail, proposed fare increases and replacing aging infrastructure and equipment. Gladys Gifford, President of Citizens for Regional Transit, presented on community needs and opportunities for strengthening the use of mass transit locally.
