Sherra Babcock, Director of Chautauqua Institution’s Education Department, presented an overview of Chautauqua and its various educational venues, including The Lecture Platform, The Chautauqua Literary & Scientific Circle, Special Studies, Writers' Center, Smith Memorial Library, Oliver Archives Center, and Cohen Recording Studio. Education is one of the four pillars that have defined Chautauqua since its inception in 1874. The other three pillars are Art, Religion, and Recreation.
