Presented as part of the Library’s year-long commemoration of 2010 as “Year of Twain,” and in celebration of the 125th anniversary of publication of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Robert Hirst was a featured speaker at the Central Library. Hirst is one of America’s most preeminent scholars of Twain. He is the editor of Who is Mark Twain?, curator of the Mark Twain Papers at the University of California-Berkeley and co-editor of the Library’s new publication Mark Twain in Buffalo.
