Interlibrary Loan Status Definitions

Logging into the Interlibrary Loan system will bring you directly to your account page.  This page shows you all your requests on a single page, links to articles, and details about the status of your requests and item due dates. You also can submit new requests from this page.
 
Definitions of Interlibrary Loan statuses are provided below: 
 
Submitted:  
  • The request has been submitted but has not yet been reviewed by library staff, or
  • The request has been submitted and reviewed by library staff, or
  • The request has been sent to lenders, or
  • The lender is considering if they can supply the item for the request, or 
  • The lender has requested additional information about the request.
In Transit: 
  • The requested item is in transit and is being routed to the borrower.
Due (date): 
  • The requested item was received by the library.  The due date will displayed is that date that the item is due back at any Buffalo and Erie County Public Library branch.
Unable to provide: 
  • Library staff were unable to borrow the requested item or, library staff were unable to borrow the requested item within the patron’s timeframe.  
Canceled: 
  • Library staff or patron canceled the request.
Complete: 
  • The requested item has been supplied to the patron, or 
  • the requested item has been returned to the lending library or, 
  • the requested item has been checked in by the lending library.
