LIBRARY SYSTEM 2014 BOARD OF TRUSTEES OFFICERS ANNOUNCED
Jack Connors Re-elected Chairman
Jack Connors will retain the role of chairman of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System Board of Trustees in 2014. Connors, president and publisher of Business First of Buffalo and Buffalo Law Journal, was re-elected, for the second time, to serve a one year term at the January Library System Board meeting.
Theodore K. Johnson was re-elected vice chair for a one year term. Johnson is president of Hadley Exhibits, Inc. of Buffalo.
Wayne D. Wisbaum was elected treasurer for a one year term. Mr. Wisbaum is an attorney with Kavinoky Cook, LLP.
Kathleen Berens Bucki, was elected secretary for a one year term. Ms. Berens Bucki is a librarian.
Executive Committee members: Sheldon M. Berlow, associate broker, Pyramid Brokerage, Inc.; Sharon M. Kelly, attorney, Hodgson Russ LLP; and Elaine M. Panty, retired City of Buffalo Water Authority; as well as officers Jack Connors and Theodore Johnson. As a past chair, Sharon A. Thomas also serves on the Executive Committee as an ex-officio member. Thomas is chief clerk for Buffalo City Court.
Additional trustees of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System Board include: Michael Amodeo, Esq.; Katie Burd, trustee, Kenmore Village; Frank Gist, retired Buffalo firefighter and owner of Greater Buffalo Bail Bonds Agency; Teresa Glanowski, product manager, Independent Health; Phyllis A. Horton, retired educator; Frank Housh, Esq., Housh Law Offices; and Rhonda A. Ricks, Ph.D., president /CEO Inclusion Development Associates, Inc.
Buffalo & Erie County Public Library trustee emeriti are W. Lawrence Buck, Richard O. Hopkins, the Hon. Salvatore R. Martoche and Rebecca L. Pordum.
Chair Connors said “The System trustees are a dedicated group committed to providing Library services that are in the best interest of the residents of Erie County.”
