Our featured database for April is Kids InfoBits. Kids InfoBits is a database designed for students in elementary school. The easy “point and click” navigation paired with brightly colored photographs helps to familiarize young children with database searching. There is also a simple search box to allow children who know exactly what they are looking for. Each page has a combination of journal articles, newspaper articles, images, and sections of books. To further help parents and children, each item has a difficulty key; green circle is easy, yellow square is intermediate, and a red triangle is advanced. Kids InfoBits also includes Merriam-Webster's Elementary Dictionary, maps, flags, seals, charts and graphs. Kids InfoBits is available from any Buffalo and Erie County Public Library. It can also be accessed from home with a library card.
