Fiction 2003
Anju, a 33 year old native of Bombay, struggles with balancing her Indian heritage-- including her quest for a husband-- and her own self-identity as she embarks on a life and career in America. This book is a perfect blend of 30-something malaise and hopeful self-discovery, and it’s a must-read for fans of chick lit looking for something with an exotic twist.

Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Fiction 2006
When Biafra secedes from Nigeria in the late sixties, a civil war ensues. The primary characters Olanna and Kainene (adult twin sisters), Ugwu (a young houseboy) and Richard (a British expatriate) divulge a beautiful and haunting story in this epic novel.

Fiction 2007
A novel of psychological suspense that transcends its genre. A friendship between two rookie detectives is tested as they delve into a murder of a young dancer that occurred outside of Dublin. Recommended for devotees of Kate Atkinson's Case Histories.
