To visit the Library
For visits to any area library, contact the library directly. For a list of area libraries, click here.
To visit the Central Library
Teachers should call the Children's Department at 858-8900 to schedule field trips for children in grades 1-6. Class visits last approximately one hour, and include a tour of the library, including behind-the-scenes areas, and book talks or videos. Because of heavy demand, visits must be scheduled in advance.
Preschool and kindergarten classes are also invited to schedule visits, which will consist of a story hour rather than library tour.
