In celebration of the opening of our new exhibit, 
B is for Book: Children's Stories Through the Centuries, the library is happy to present the B is for Book: Winter Reading Contest! See below for details about our contests for Kids and Classrooms:

The B is for Book Winter Reading Challenge runs from January 1st through March 5th, 2021.

Sign up and write book reviews for the books you read between January and March. Every book you review earns you one point.  Each point serves as an entry into a drawing to win fun prizes.  You may also complete missions to earn badges and additional points! 

Earn 10 points and you will receive a certificate of participation which you can print yourself.  After the first 10 points, continue to log and review books for more chances to win the Grand Prize! Grand Prize: Kindle Fire HD 10 KidsEdition Tablet – 10.1” 1080p full HD display, 32 GB, with a Kid-Proof Case

The classroom contest is designed for children attending schools, homeschool, daycares, or after-school programs. Teachers, program councilors, and other educators may sign their classes up under their own name and the number of students in each class. Individual students need not be named.

Teachers can sign up their students to write book reviews of books students read on their own, or as a class, for a chance to win fun prizes! Every book logged as read earns the class 1 point.  Every point earned is an additional entry into a drawing to win our Grand Prize!

Earn 10 points and you will receive a certificate of participation, which you can print.  After the first 10 points, keep logging and reviewing books for more chances to win! Grand Prize: one $100 Amazon Gift Card and a box of age-appropriate books, crafts and giveaways for the whole class.
