Montrose Avenue runs north off Kenmore Avenue, west of Niagara Falls Blvd and east of Parkhurst Blvd.

Wheelchair accessible.

Parking lot available. 

Kenilworth has 20 Public Access Computers, two of which have scanners.

(2 Children PCs, 9 Adult PCs  7 Laptops and 2 OPACs).

Networked printing (10 cents per page for black & white, 25 cents per page for color),

Microsoft Office applications, Internet access, seating area with outlet for powering personal laptop.  Free WiFi available.

 After hours book return available in parking lot.

Self Service Public Fax Machine available, 1.75 1st page, 1.00 each additional page using prepaid cards or credit/debit cards

Black and White Copier .15 per copy for 8 1/2  X 11 (letter size), .30 per copy 8 1/2 X 14 (legal size)

"What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

A Community Room with the capacity of 30 is available for Library Programs and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.

What's Special About the Kenilworth Library

Located on an area of land that was once part of the Kenilworth Park Race track in the early 1900’s, Montrose Avenue runs north off Kenmore Avenue, west of Niagara Falls Blvd and east of Parkhurst Blvd

Proof that good things can come in small packages, the library houses a wide array of books, magazines, DVDs, Blu-Rays, Audiobooks and CD’s for all ages and  interests.

Button Making Wednesdays from 5 to 7 pm at Kenilworth Library FOR ALL AGES

Button Making : Every Wednesday from 5 - 7 pm.  Come to the library to make your own buttons!  Find a favorite picture, photo, or make an original design and have it pressed into a 1.25 inch button.  Fashionable, Fun and Fabulous!  Open to all ages and no registration is required.  There is a limit of 3 buttons per person.  

Computer Coach Thursdays from 12 - 1 pm

The Kenilworth Branch Library is now offering a Computer Coach on Thursdays from 12:00-1:00 PM. Our volunteer will be available to help you with email, Microsoft Word, using the Internet, scanning, and more! No appointment needed. Service provided based on volunteer availability. Call 834-7657 for more information.


Books and Barks 2nd Wednesday of the month 6-7:30 ages 5-12

This reading program for children ages 5 and up is a unique opportunity to work on reading skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Sign up for a 15 minute session to read to a trained therapy dog. Registration is required for this program.  Presented in partnership with Paws for Love - a program of the SPCA serving Erie County.

Craft Club 2nd Saturday of the month at 4 pm for ages 5 and up

Join us every second Saturday of the month for a fun seasonal craft. Geared for ages 5 and up   

Space and materials are limited, so registration is required.

Registrations now open for our December Craft Club program on Friday December 14 at 4 pm.  Ages 5 and up will create "Sparking Snowflake" using cardboard and sparkles and glue. Create a handmade ornament for the season! This program is FREE and all materials are provided, registration is prefered, so call us at 834-7657 and let us know your coming!

Book Discussions 1st Wednesday of the Month from 2-3:30 pm

Join us as Amy, the librarian for the Kenilworth Library, leads the discussion on the following titles on the  first Wednesday of the month from 2:00 - 3:30 pm.  Read great books and make new friends!  New members are always welcome!

All titles have multiple copies available to borrow from the library, so stop in or call the library for more information or to request a copy of the selected titles.

Need computer assistance? We can help! These free 45 minute sessions are designed to assist with software support or Internet training. They are not designed to troubleshoot computer problems or repair hardware.  Available topics include computer basics, email, Microsoft Office, social networking, and eDevice assistance. Registration is required.

Dementia Support Group for caregivers of military veteransDementia Caregiver Support Group for those who care for a military veteran.

Providing care for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease can be stressful and isolating, but support groups can provide coping tools and a welcoming embrace from others in the same position

On the second Thursday of every month you can find that support in the community room of the Kenilworth Branch Library at 318 Montrose Avenue in Buffalo from 11 am - 12:30 pm.

Snow Day Basket Raffle

The Kenilworth Library wants to encourage everyone to discover all the great items available to borrow from the Buffalo and Erie County Library System!  And we're sweetening the pot with our seasonal basket raffles!    You qualify for a raffle ticket for every 5 items you check out during your visit.  Enter as many times as you like, but you must check out at least 5 items during each visit .  Bring your reciept to the desk to recieve your entry tickets!

Spotlight on the 100th anniversary of a Womans RIght to vote in New York State

On Sunday, November 5, 2017, the Kenmore Village Improvement Society held a special program at the Kenmore United Methodist Church celebrating the 100th anniversary of a woman's right to vote in New York State.  There were some special guest speakers, as well as people dressed in clothing of the period, music and more!  The Town of Tonawanda Public Library Kenmore Branch created a special brochure for the event.  It contained a selection of titles available through the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library for kids and adults who want to delve deeper into this seminal time in our state and nation's history.  Download your own copy of the brochure HERE.

Kenmore Town of  Tonawanda Friends of the Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting Town of Tonawanda libraries and literacy in our area. Their mission is to support high quality resources for all town residents through fundraising and advocacy.  If you are interested in joining the friends, pick up an application at either the Kenmore or Kenilworth branch, or visit their website at www.ktfol.com.

Have materials to donate?  They can be dropped off at the Kenmore or Kenmore Library during their open hours.  We would love your donations of books, DVD's, CD's Audiobooks, puzzles in new or very good condition. (We also love vinyll records that are still in good condtion!) We are not able to accept encylopedias, textbooks older than 5 years, VHS tapes, art prints or photocopied materials.  If you have a large amount materials to donate, or have questions about donating please call either Kenmore or Kenilworth library in advance.
