Located at the corner of Chapel and Delaware Road, one mile south of Sheridan Drive. Wheelchair accessible. Parking lot available. 

Public access computers: 42 public access computers (3 Children's PCs, 2 Young Adult PCs, 29 Adult PCs, 6 Laptops and 2 OPACs), networked (printing 10 cents per page for black & white, 25 cents per page for color), Microsoft Office applications, Internet access.  Free WiFi available. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

An Optalec ClearView Video Magnifier is available in the library's magazine area on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A Conference Room with the capacity of 10 is available for meetings and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.

A Community Room with the capacity of 47 is available for Library Programs and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.

Self Service Fax Machine -Faxes cost $1.75 for the first page and an additional $1 per page. You can use your credit or debit card or purchase a fax card at the circulation desk.

Jan 17Family Story Time 6:30 pm. For children 0 – 5 years (children under three years of age need a caregiver to stay.) We'll read stories, do fingerplays, sing songs, and make a craft. Sessions run for 6 weeks from January 10 through February 14.  Registration required
 
Jan 18Toddler Time for 2's sessions at 10:15 and 11:15 am. Runs January 11 through February 22. For children 2 years of age with a caregiver. We'll read stories, do fingerplays, sing songs, and make a craft. Due to popular demand there are 2 sessions, one at 10:15 and one at 11:15 (you may only register for one session time) Registration is required and space is limited.
 
Jan 19Lego Club 11 am- 12 pm. Interested in building, design, or just using your imagination?  Kenmore's Lego Club meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month. We'll bring the bricks, you bring the fun! Open to all kids ages 6-12. Registration required.

Jan 22Button Making 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  Tuesdays are Button Days at the Kenmore Library! Find a favorite picture, photo, or make an original design and have it pressed into a 1.25" button. Fashionable, fun, and fabulous! Open to all ages and no registration required. Limit of 3 buttons per person. Call  for more information.
 
Jan 22 - Learn Etsy with Vanessa Lauria part 1  7 pm. Attention all artisans and home crafters looking to sell online! Announcing a special 2 part series taking place at the Library on Tuesday, January 22 and 29 at 7 pm.  Lean how to create a shop on etsy, the popular e-commerce website focused on handmade and vintage items. Presented by Vanessa Lauria, a 10 year etsy vetran and creator of pidge pidge. This program is free and open to the public. However, space is limited, so registration is required. Although not required, registrants are encouraged to bring their own tablet,laptop or smartphone to follow along with instruction (simple handouts will also be provided).

Jan 23 - Cook Book Club (meets at the Kenilworth Branch Library) 6:30 pm.
Do you like to cook and talk about food? Do you love to read cookbooks but often don’t have the time to make all those delicious recipes?If you answered “yes” to either of those questions then our new Cookbook Club might be for you!
All you have to do is bring a prepared dish (and serving utensil) to share from the selected cookbook. Participants will gather to sample dishes and discuss at the Kenilworth Branch Library (The Kenilworth Branch Library is located on 318 Montrose Ave. Montrose Avenue runs north off Kenmore Avenue, west of Niagara Falls Blvd and east of Parkhurst Blvd.) Their phone number is 716-834-7657 https://goo.gl/maps/xL4NU5mjcSu For our inaugural meeting we will be cooking from the book "Thug Kitchen 101". Feb 2 - Crafter Day! 10 am.  The first Saturday of each month is Crafter-day at Kenmore! Come to the Kenmore Library at 10 am on the 1st Saturday of each month and make a seasonal craft. Recommended for ages 5-10 (children younger than 5 can attend with a caregiver, children older than 10 can attend if interested). Registration is necessary and space is limited.
 
Feb 4Tax Assistance 10 am - 2 pm. The AARP will provide free tax assistance for adults on Mondays and Wednesdays from February 4, 2019 - April 10, 2019. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the Parking Lot entrance door at 8:00 AM. Individuals will be seen in order on the list. The library will be closed on February 18, 2018 for President's Day.

Feb 5 - Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors 11 am -12 pm. This program is designed to provide practical information and resources to help dementia caregivers learn to decipher behaviors and determine how best to respond. The goal is for participants to leave the program feeling comfortable with using a four-step model to intervene with behaviors they may encounter in their care-giving. Presented by the Alzheimer's Association of WNY.

Sign up for a 15-minute session to read to a licensed therapy dog! Meets the second Saturday of every month. For children age 5-12. Registration required. Presented in Partnership with Paws for Love - A Program of the SPCA Serving Erie County

Discover all the great items available to borrow from the Buffalo and Erie County Library System and you could win a fun prize ! You qualify for a raffle ticket for every 5 items your check out at the branch starting now through December 26, 2018, and you could win a pot filled with soups!  Enter as many times as you like, but you must check out at least 5 items during each visit.  Bring your reciept to the desk to recieve your entry tickets.  Drawing will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2018.

 

Spotlight on the hundredth anniversary of a woman's right to vote in New York State

On Sunday, November 5, 2017, the Kenmore Village Improvement Society held a special program at the Kenmore United Methodist Church celebrating the 100th anniversary of a woman's right to vote in New York State.  There were some special guest speakers, as well as people dressed in clothing of the period, music and more!  The Town of Tonawanda Public Library Kenmore Branch created a special brochure for the event.  It contained a selection of titles available through the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library for kids and adults who want to delve deeper into this seminal time in our state and nation's history.  Download your own copy of the brochure HERE.
