Located at the corner of Chapel and Delaware Road, one mile south of Sheridan Drive. Wheelchair accessible. Parking lot available. 

Public access computers: 42 public access computers (3 Children's PCs, 2 Young Adult PCs, 29 Adult PCs, 6 Laptops and 2 OPACs), networked (printing 10 cents per page for black & white, 25 cents per page for color), Microsoft Office applications, Internet access.  Free WiFi available. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

An Optalec ClearView Video Magnifier is available in the library's magazine area on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A Conference Room with the capacity of 10 is available for meetings and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.

A Community Room with the capacity of 47 is available for Library Programs and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.

Self Service Fax Machine -Faxes cost $1.75 for the first page and an additional $1 per page. You can use your credit or debit card or purchase a fax card at the circulation desk.

November 15 Town of Tonawanda Coalition Community Resource Hub 3-6 pm. Connect with service providers in your community. Access food assistance, health insurance, substance and addiction services, employment assistance, housing, legal services, senior services and more. November 17Lego Club 11 am- 12 pm. Interested in building, design, or just using your imagination?  Kenmore's Lego Club meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month. We'll bring the bricks, you bring the fun! Open to all kids ages 6-12. Registration required.

November 23 - Story Time and Snow Globe Craft 11 am.  Ages 4-6.  Come to the Kenmore Branch Library for a special story time featuring the Caldecott-winning book, Wolf in the Snow by Matthew Cordell. We'll also be making a snow globe craft to help get into the winter spirit! For children ages 4-6. Space is limited and registration is necessary. Presented by a library student from the University at Buffalo. Registration required.
 
November 24 - Nature Play 11 am. Ages 6-10. Discover nature in this fun filled program! Participants will get to explore various aspects of Western New Yorks’s nature, create their own collage, and play games all without leaving the library! This program is designed to bring nature into the library, so kids will get to explore regardless of their location! Space is limited and registration is required. Registration for this event starts Monday October 15.

November 30 - Unicorns and Dragons.10:30 am. Ages 3-6. What’s your favorite? Dragons or unicorns? With this program, you don’t have to choose! Come celebrate your favorite fantastic beasts @ the library. Create a dragon’s egg and decide what type of dragon you’ll hatch. Make and take unicorn slime with stories, games, and a dance party! Space is limited and registration is required. Registration for this event begins Monday October 15.

December 1 - Crafter Day. 10 am. The first Saturday of each month is Crafter-day at Kenmore! Come to the Kenmore Library at 10am on the 1st Saturday of each month and make a seasonal craft. Recommended for ages 5-10 (children younger than 5 can attend with a caregiver, children older than 10 can attend if interested). Registration required
 
December 3 - Knit / Crochet Group 12 pm. Work on your knitting or crochet projects, meet new friends, and have fun at the Kenmore Library Knit & Crochet Group. Learn new tips and tricks, or share some of your own! We meet every Monday from 12-2 PM and are open to all skill levels.

December 6 - Graham Cracker Houses *REGISTRATION FULL* 6:30 pm.  For all ages.  Presented by Explore and More Children's Museum.  Building graham cracker houses is one of our favorite traditions. The results are always delicious, but children are challenged to make a house that is beautiful as well as structurally sound. All materials are provided. This is a family activity; younger children will need help. Registration is requred for this event.  No registrations will be accepted before November 7.  
 
December 8 - Books & Barks 10:30 am - 12 pm. Do you want your child to improve their literacy skills and reading confidence? Reading to a dog can help! Sign up for a 15-minute session to read to a licensed therapy dog! Meets the second Saturday of every month. For children age 5-12. Registration required. Presented in Partnership with Paws for Love - A Program of the SPCA Serving Erie County

December 18 - Charles Dickens Presents: A Christmas Carol 7pm. Recommended for ages 10 and up.  A solo performance starring Mike Randall. See Charles Dickens present his most popular holiday tale

A Christmas Carol! This is NOT a reading! Mr. Dickens acts out more than 25 characters just the way he presented the story on his popular tours all over the world in the 1800's. Free and open to the public, no registration required.

December 27 - Instrument Petting Zoo 11 am. Ages 3-8.  Explore the instruments of the orchestra with our hands-on Instrument Petting Zoo. Instructor Sean Crawford guides children through the orchestra, asking questions, encouraging critical thinking and demonstrating beginner performance techniques. Participants will sing, listen and move to music, and will play instruments of all shapes and sizes. Presented by The Community Music School. For children ages 3-8. Registration is required and space is limited. REGISTRATION BEGINS THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6TH AT 10AM.

Discover all the great items available to borrow from the Buffalo and Erie County Library System and you could win a fun prize ! You qualify for a raffle ticket for every 5 items your check out at the branch starting now through December 26, 2018, and you could win a basket of goodies perfect to enjoy on an unexpected snow day!  Enter as many times as you like, but you must check out at least 5 items during each visit.  Bring your reciept to the desk to recieve your entry tickets.  Drawing will be held Friday, December 26, 2018.

 

Spotlight on the hundredth anniversary of a woman's right to vote in New York State

On Sunday, November 5, 2017, the Kenmore Village Improvement Society held a special program at the Kenmore United Methodist Church celebrating the 100th anniversary of a woman's right to vote in New York State.  There were some special guest speakers, as well as people dressed in clothing of the period, music and more!  The Town of Tonawanda Public Library Kenmore Branch created a special brochure for the event.  It contained a selection of titles available through the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library for kids and adults who want to delve deeper into this seminal time in our state and nation's history.  Download your own copy of the brochure HERE.
