Located on Buffalo Street (Route 62) between Pleasant Avenue and Union Street, this lively library is nestled in the village of Hamburg. If you are looking for a great film collection, preschool story hours or a comfortable place to catch up on the daily news, the Hamburg Public Library may be the place for you. 

Our parking lot entrance is located on Union Street near the Buffalo Street intersection.

Free WiFi. 21 public access computers plus 6 laptops that can be checked out for use within the building. Networked printing is 10¢ per page B&W and 25¢ per page color. Copy machine at 25¢ per page.

The Hamburg Library has a meeting room that can be available for community meetings. Please complete the following application and return to the main desk.

Special Events

Nature Play: Thursday, October 18th, 6. Discover nature in this fun-filled program! Participants will get to explore various aspects of Buffalo’s nature, create their own collage, and play games all without leaving the library! Ages 6-10. Registration required.

Sensory Saturday: Saturday, October 20th, 10-2. Join us for a room filled with different sensory activities. Playing is learning! For ages birth-5.

Hamburg Halloween Fun: Saturday, October 20th. The library is participating in this village-wide event! Join us for spooky stories at 11 or 1. Stop by our creepy craft table between 10-2, or explore our Halloween-style sensory stations!

Graham Cracker Haunted House: Saturday, October 27th, 12:30. Create your own haunted house out of graham crackers. Ages 12 and under. Registration required.



Lapsit with Miss Ashley: Wednesdays at 10, No Lapsit October 10th. For ages birth-2. Stories and sensory play.

Storytime Shook Up with Miss Laurie: Mondays and Fridays at 10:30, No storytime October 8th or 12th. Although geared toward ages 2 to 5, all ages are welcome!  Registration required.

Storytime at Comfort Zone Café: Tuesday, October 30th at 10. The Hamburg Public Library and Comfort Zone Cafe are teaming up to bring you a storytime and craft! Stop by the counter before or after the program to check out the specials available just for program attendees!

Director’s Book Club:  Friday, October 19th, 11. Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sizie.

Cookbook Club: Friday, October 19th, 6:30. Great Easy Meals.  Sign up to bring a dish at the desk and join us for dinner!

Hamburg Classical Guitar Quartet Concert: Friday, October 19, 7-9. Join us for a free concert by the Hamburg Classical Guitar Quartet!

Poetry Circle:  Tuesday, October 16th, 6:30. Bring an original poem or from a poet of your choice to share!

Book a Tech: Monday, October 29th, 12-3. Sign up for a 45 minute session to work with a technology instructor. Registration required.
