Located on Buffalo Street (Route 62) between Pleasant Avenue and Union Street, this lively library is nestled in the village of Hamburg. If you are looking for a great film collection, preschool story hours or a comfortable place to catch up on the daily news, the Hamburg Public Library may be the place for you. 

Our parking lot entrance is located on Union Street near the Buffalo Street intersection.

Free WiFi. 21 public access computers plus 6 laptops that can be checked out for use within the building. Networked printing is 10¢ per page B&W and 25¢ per page color. Copy machine at 25¢ per page.

The Hamburg Library has a meeting room that can be available for community meetings. Please complete the following application and return to the main desk.

Director's Book Club:

Meets the third Friday of every month at 11:00am. Please join us for a great discussion. The list of upcoming books are as follows:

Friday, February 16 at 11am - "A House for Mr. Biswas" by V. S. Naipaul. Please see staff for a copy.

Phoebe the Reading Dog: February 4, 12-1. Visit Phoebe, our certified therapy dog, at the Hamburg Library! She loves to listen to stories!

Pizza Storytime: February 8, 6:30pm. It’s National Pizza Day! Join us for stories and an edible craft centered on this  delicious day! Registration required.

LEGO Club: January 13, 1-3pm. Make a LEGO creation! Registration required.

Page to Screen Movie Night: February 23, 6:30pm. Based on the book by Richard Matheson. One of the most unusual love stories ever told. After Chris Nielsen (Robin Williams) dies in a car accident, he is guided through the afterlife by his spirit guide, Albert (Cuba Gooding Jr.). His new world is beautiful and can be whatever Chris imagines. But even Heaven is not complete without his wife Annie, and when tragedy threatens to divide them forever, Chris risks his very soul to save Annie from an eternity of despair.

Cookbook Club: February 16, 6:30pm. Visit the desk to view the cookbook and select a recipe. Prepare the dish and try others, potluck style!

Phoebe the Reading Dog: Sunday February 18 from 12-1. Read a story to Phoebe the Reading Dog!

Global Games: February 20, 6pm. Compete with your friends in the indoor library winter games! Hockey, curling, biathlon and figure skating have been modified for indoor fun! Ages 8-12. Registration required.

Movie Matinee: February 23, 2pm. A young boy named Kubo must locate a magical suit of armor in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. Rated PG. Registration required.

Tell A Fairy Tale Storytime: February 26, 6:30pm. Today is Tell A Fairy Tale Day! Join us for fairy tales, activities and crafts! Ages 3 and up. Registration required. 

Storytime at the Comfort Zone Cafe: February 27, 10am. Join us for a story and craft at Comfort Zone! Stop by the counter to check out the specials available just for storytime attendees!
