Help Plan for the Future of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System

Community Encouraged to Participate in Public Input Sessions

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System is seeking community participation to help plan for the next five years of library services.  Residents with or without library cards can attend an upcoming Community Input Session to offer suggestions and opinions about library services in the future.  Online and in-library surveys will also be available.

“Our goal is to listen to the community.  We want to hear what they have to say as we look to develop a plan for the future,” stated Library System Director Mary Jean Jakubowski.  “Libraries are community builders, providing access to information in traditional ways as well as through technology, outreach, collaborations and more.  We want to know how the public envisions libraries and our services in the next five years.”

Community Input Sessions will run approximately 1½ hours and are free and open to all.  No registration is necessary.  Questions will range from how satisfied residents are with their Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries to the types of library materials and services desired in the next five years.
