Writer promotes new book, Long Road to Mercy, in free noon-hour event

New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci will visit the downtown Central Library, 1 Lafayette Square, Buffalo on Thursday, November 15 at 12 noon to promote his upcoming book, Long Road to Mercy. The event is free & open to the public.  Baldacci will sign copies of the book, which will be available for purchase at the Library during the event through Talking Leaves Books.

Baldacci has written more than 40 novels, all national and international bestsellers.  His newest thriller, Long Road to Mercy, will be released on November 13, two days before he comes to Buffalo.  The novel focuses on Atlee Pine, an FBI agent with special skills assigned to the remote wilds of the southwestern United States.

Baldacci’s books have been published in over 45 languages and in more than 80 countries, with over 130 million worldwide sales.  Several of his works have been adapted for feature films and television.  Long Road to Mercy will be available through the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library in book, eBook and eAudioBook formats beginning November 13. In support of the Baldacci family’s Wish You Well Foundation, attendees are encouraged to bring a new children’s book to donate to the local organization, Project Flight Inc., for Books for Kids, an initiative designed to promote literacy in children.
