Summer is finally here!  The 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries and the Library on Wheels bookmobile have many Summer Reading activities and events planned for children and families that are designed to foster a love of reading and sense of discovery!  Study after study shows that summer reading raises students’ learning levels and helps them retain and enhance their reading skills – meaning children are better prepared for school each fall.
Join us as "Libraries Rock" this summer!

Visit the 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries for...

The "Summer Slide" Wastes Time
Read Aloud
- Just 15 minutes, every child, every parent/guardian, every day!  Reading aloud is the best way to help children develop word mastery and grammatical understanding, which form the basis for learning to read on their own. Your child doesn't stop growing over the summer - make sure they don't stop learning either.

The Library on Wheels Bookmobile will be out and about this summer.  Just like a library you can borrow and return materials, there's free WiFi and more!  See where their next stop is here.
