Internationally bestselling author Emily Rodda's brilliant finale to the trilogy inspired by the world of Deltora.

Three magic Doors are the only way in and out of the walled city of Weld. The golden Door is grand and majestic -- a Door for heroes. The silver Door hints at mystery and knowledge -- a door for schemers. But the plain wooden Door has always held the most appeal for Rye and his friend Sonia. And now, at last, they have the chance to open it.

The city of Weld is under attack by skimmers, flying beasts that terrorize the night. If Rye and Sonia can't discover the enemy sending the skimmers in time, Weld has no hope. Twice before, Rye and Sonia left Weld on a quest to save it. Twice before, they failed.

Now there's just one Door left -- one last chance to save the people of Weld. Rye and Sonia know everything depends on them. But nothing can prepare them for the horror that waits behind the wooden Door.

Review by Booklist Review

Finally the time has come for Rye and his companion, Sonia, to pass through the wooden door, which will (they hope) help them defeat the enemy, who is sending the deadly skinners to attack their hidden city of Weld. Accompanied by Rye's brothers Dirk, whose journey was explored in The Golden Door (2012), and Sholto, who was found in The Silver Door (2013) the group discovers that the connection between humans and the magical Fellan is both stronger and more tenuous than they had imagined. Readers who have come to love the plucky Rye and determined Sonia will be eager for this story. Though at first it seems that Rodda will only raise more questions, by the last third of the book, the plot is tied up in an unexpected but very satisfying way. Fans of Rodda's Deltora Quest series will be thrilled by the tie-ins here. New fans can enjoy this installment without any prior knowledge of the land of Deltora; though they'll have a richer experiance if they've read the first two volumes.--Wildsmith, Snow Copyright 2010 Booklist
