Family Fun Night with Karima Amin!
Join us Thursday, February 18th at 6:30pm in the Central Library for a special presentation by storyteller, educator and author Karima Amin.

Families and children of all ages are welcome as this amazing storyteller shares her gift at this free event. Karima is a co-founder of "Spin-A-Story Tellers of WNY" and "Tradition Keepers: Black Storytellers of WNY."

Join us at the Central Library on Feb 27th for "Robots and Remote Controls"

From 10AM to 2PM the UB Robotics Club will present lectures and demonstrate the robots they have created. The Central Library will host a remote control car race - run a maze and compete for your very own robot!

Branched Out Programs
The Branched Out Program schedule, offered by the Buffalo Museum of Science, is now available. "Under the Sea!" will be studied by the Young Scientists (ages 6-10), while Young Explorers (ages 3-5) will discover "What a Wonderful Body!". Check out the program offerings at the Crane, Dudley, East Clinton, East Delavan, Merriweather, and NorthPark Libraries.
Digital Local History Pilot Project!
View a sample of the Local History File on Flickr. The Local History File, located in the Grosvenor Room at the Central Library, is B&ECPL's most comprehensive resource on Buffalo's history. It consists of index cards with citations to articles and books about Buffalo and Erie County topics. The Richardson Olmsted Complex is featured in the pilot project.
