Manga Clubs at the Library

Join us for Manga Clubs @ the Library

Are you an anime or manga fan? Do you love Japanese pop culture? Do you want to meet other teens who love these things as much as you? We have clubs at the public library!

The Central Library has a Teen Manga Club that meets on Saturday afternoons once a month. This club is for youth ages 13-17. Feel free to drop-in and talk about your favorite manga, watch anime, meet new people and work on fun projects. Past activities have included making candy sushi, creating charms and magnets featuring anime and manga characters, sewing plushies and creating a group manga. The next program is March 7, 3:00-4:30. Can’t make it this month? Search our calendar for future dates. Questions? Call Central Library at 858-8900.

The North Park Library also hosts a Manga Club. Their group meets once a month, on a Friday night, from 5:30-7:30.  They watch anime, talk about manga, eat snacks and work on manga-related projects. The North Park staff reserves new manga titles for you to check out. This group is drop-in and for youth 10 years old and up. The next program is Friday, March 27 (canceled). Questions? Once we reopen, call the North Park branch at 875-3748, or look on our online calendar, for the next program.

Not interested in manga and anime? Check out our calendar to find other kinds of teen programming.

EDIT 3/17/20 All libraries are closed, and PROGRAMS CANCELED, through March 31, 2020.
