PLAN A VISIT

Planning a visit to one of our locations?  We recommend that you call ahead if you are unfamiliar with the building.  Let staff know what accessibility issues are of concern to you.  They will advise you as to what architectural barriers may exist and what assistive technologies are available at that library.  Here is some general information to get you started.

ACCOMMODATION REQUESTS

Let us know if a device, service or modification would improve your access to a library program or event.

Please submit your request no later than seven (7) business days before the scheduled event to allow time to arrange for the necessary accommodations.  Accommodation Request Form

To make a request by phone:

  • Central Library and Buffalo City Branches (716) 858-8900 and ask for the ADA Coordinator.
  • Libraries outside the City of Buffalo contact the Library Manager or Director where the event is taking place Libraries + Hours.

The ADA Coordinator or designee will respond within 15 days of the date received in writing, or in a format accessible to the person making the complaint as necessary.
