  • Story Time is Going to the Dogs! - Friday, April 10th at 10:30 AM. For K-3 aged children. April 10th is National Hug Your Dog Day and we'll celebrate by reading some dog themed books and other silly dog activities. Paddy the Reading Dog will arrive at the end for some hugs of his own and for the children to read to him! Please register by calling 716-652-2719.

  • Adult Chair Yoga - Mondays, April 6th and 13th at 1 PM. Yoga in a chair?! Yes! You don’t need to get down on the floor to experience the benefits of yoga. This class will include both seated postures and standing postures that use a chair for support. All fitness levels are welcome. A yoga mat to place under the chair is recommended.   • FeedMore WNY - Thursdays, April 9th and April 23rd from 12 PM to 1 PM (weather permitting). Stop by to purchase fresh, healthy, affordable and locally grown produce every 2nd Thursday of the month! The Farm Market accepts cash, debit/credit, tap to pay & SNAP/EBT (50% off)!

  • Lego Club - Saturday, April 11th at 1 PM. For ages 6-12. Join us for some Lego-building fun. We provide the Legos, and you build! Please call 716-652-2719 to register.

  • Paranormal Adventures In Western New York - Wednesday, April 15th at 6 PM. Are you afraid of the dark? Did you think that you just saw a something, blinked and there wasn't anything there? Have you ever walked into a room and felt something just wasn't right? If you have then you might be a paranormal experiencer! Stop by for a fun evening to hear about the paranormal world! Learn some of the tricks and tools of the trade. Of course some local hot spots will be featured where things may not be as sleepy as you might expect.   • Book Club - Wednesday, April 15th at 6:30 PM. The month's book selection is “Native Son” by Richard Wright. Stop by the library to pick up a copy of the book. All are welcome.

  • Writing Workshop - Thursday, April 16th at 1 PM. This is a creative writing workshop for anyone interested in gathering and writing on a suggested topic, and sharing their stories with the group. No experience is required. For the first session the presenter will suggest a topic, we will take time to write and read our stories out loud. Each writer can suggest topics for the next scheduled meeting and we will vote. All you need is paper, a pen, and an hour to share a few thoughts. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.

  • Sundance Farms - Saturday, April 18th at 1 pm. Join us and Mike Morton of Sun Dance Kids Farm for a fluffy, adorable meet and greet with baby farm animals! Please register by calling 716-652-2719 for a half hour time slot.

  • How to Spot a Scam for Seniors - Monday, April 20th at 6 PM. Please join us for a 90-minute interactive course to learn the tricks scammers use and practice how to stay safe. We will cover the most prevalent types of identity theft, the techniques used to trick you out of your personal information, practice spotting red flags and how to respond. Your participation will help us evaluate how easy and helpful an online program is for older adults to use. If you agree to participate in a follow-up survey to help us learn how effective the course is, you will receive a thank you gift. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.

  • Book a Technology Trainer - Wednesday, April 22nd at 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM. Need computer assistance? We can help! These free 45 minute sessions are designed to assist with software support or Internet training. A variety of topics include training on the Microsoft Office suite and even how to download books onto your tablet or iPhone. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.

  • Book Sale - Thursday, April 23rd to Saturday, April 25th during open hours in our meeting room. We'll have a huge selection of adult & childrens books for sale, as well as movies and music! Stop in and check it out! $5 bag sale Thursday & Friday, $1 bag sale on Saturday.

  • Mocktails and Craft Night - Monday, April 27th at 6 PM. Enjoy a mocktail while doing art roulette! Teens and adults welcome. Teens bring your adults, adults bring your teens for mocktails and a painting. Please register by calling 716-652-2719. 

  • Elma Cooks! Cookbook Club - Wednesday, April 29th at 6 PM. Join us for our cookbook club! Meet fellow foodies, cookbook enthusiasts and wonderful people who will enrich your culinary interests. Browse the book and sign up at the front desk.

  • Toddler Dance Class - Friday, May 1st at 10:30 AM. Join us for a creative movement, musicality, dance, fitness and tumbling class with Miss Stacey. For ages 18 months to 3 years. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.

  • Unwind - Monday, May 4th at 4 PM. A casual fiber arts group (the point is to hang out and make things). For ages 6-12. Bring a project you are working on, or participate in the month's activity.   • Romantasy Book Club - Monday, March 2nd at 6:30 PM. We will be discussing "Hurricane Wars" by Thea Guanzon. No registration required. 

  • University Express: Estate Planning & Asset Protection - Tuesday, May 5th at 2 PM. This presentation will focus on the importance of Estate Planning for purposes of avoiding probate and to protect assets from future long-term care costs; such as nursing homes and to assist with qualifying for Medicaid.   • University Express: Save Our Sacred Sights - Thursday, May 7th at 2 PM. This is an initiative that Preservation Buffalo Niagara has been working on for the past two years in response to the Buffalo Diocese Road to Renewal, which has closed countless churches in our area. Not only will we explain the process of how preservation tools can benefit these sites, but also how we have been helping congregations through this very difficult time. For ages 50+. Let’s talk about ways to ensure your identity is protected, how to avoid identity theft and why it is important to review your credit report on a regular basis.   • University Express: Spiritualism in WNY - Wednesday, May 13th at 6:30 PM. Many Buffalonians are familiar with Lily Dale, but fewer of us know that spiritualism actually has a long and rich history in Western New York. Join us for this interesting talk which will introduce the concept of spiritualism and its development in the United States before delving into its history here in WNY. You’ll learn about famous locals such as the Fox sisters and the Davenport brothers, along with others who influenced the practice of spiritualism in this area. The talk will include information about Lilydale and its place as the center of spiritualism in the United States, as well as various other local places where spiritualist events have occurred.   • University Express: Swift Flowing Water: HiSTORIES of North Tonawanda - Tuesday, May 19th at 2 PM. Water frames and colors the history of North Tonawanda -- flowing from the name of the place, to the power passing through it, to the people who came to it, and to the products made there and then sent out to the world. The strategic location provided a gateway to the Erie Canal and a transfer point for both electricity and travelers going between Buffalo and Niagara Falls or Lockport. This talk will introduce a few of the influential individuals, as well as a selection of the major industries and businesses in N.T.'s history, sometimes having interesting connections with other people and places in or beyond Western New York.
