Chromebook, Hotspot

Do you need to use a laptop? Do you need Internet that you can use at home, on demand? Come check out one of our Chromebook Kits!

Chromebooks are lightweight laptops that allow you to browse the Internet, type documents, check email, use social media and more! We also include a Hotspot for Internet access that can be used anywhere. This is the perfect kit for traveling, school, and technology emergencies.

You need a library card in good standing to check out a Chromebook. Patrons under 17 must have a guardian sign a waiver and have a library card with Internet access enabled. Chromebook Kits are checked out for 7 days and you can renew them up to 2 times.

Located west of Eggert Road on East Delavan Avenue, near the intersection of Bailey Avenue, next to the Bank of America. Wheelchair accessible. Parking lot available.

Public Access Computers: 35 public access computers (3 catalog computers) and 6 public access laptops (library card required), including a computer lab of 12 computers and two express scanner computers.

Printing is 25 cents per color page and 10 cents per black & white page. 

Photocopying is 15 cents per page, B&W only.

Faxing is $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page after that. Cover pages count as a page.

Library System Information on the Board of Trustees

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System Board of Trustees is the governing body for the downtown Central Library, and the eight branch libraries located in the city of Buffalo. These include: Crane, Dudley, East Clinton, Leroy R. Coles, Jr., Frank E. Merriweather, Jr., Niagara, North Park and the Riverside Branch Libraries.
