Located at the corner of Chapel and Delaware Road, one mile south of Sheridan Drive. Wheelchair accessible. Parking lot available. 

Public access computers: 42 public access computers (3 Children's PCs, 2 Young Adult PCs, 29 Adult PCs, 6 Laptops and 2 OPACs), networked (printing 10 cents per page for black & white, 25 cents per page for color), Microsoft Office applications, Internet access.  Free WiFi available. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

An Optalec ClearView Video Magnifier is available in the library's magazine area on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A Conference Room with the capacity of 10 is available for meetings and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.

A Community Room with the capacity of 47 is available for Library Programs and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.

August 14 - Buffalo Animal Adventures Presents: North American Journey 1pm. Let’s take a journey across North America! Travel from the frozen tundra to the vast prairies and semi-tropical climates found on our own continent.  Meet the animals who have made their homes not too far from your own! This program is open to ALL AGES. No registration required.
 
August 14Button Making 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  Tuesdays are Button Days at the Kenmore Library! Find a favorite picture, photo, or make an original design and have it pressed into a 1.25" button. Fashionable, fun, and fabulous! Open to all ages and no registration required. Limit of 3 buttons per person. Call  for more information.

August 16Preschool Story Time 10:30 am.  The Kenmore Branch Library is pleased to announce the Summer session of its popular Preschool Story Time for children 3-5. Enjoy stories, fingerplays, songs, crafts & more. Thursday mornings at 10:30 from July 19-August 16. Space is limited so registration is necessary. Call the library at 873-2842 or stop in to register.
 
August 16 - Resume Helper 11 am. Our wonderful volunteer will help you with editing, formatting, or creating your professional resume. Appointment times are 11am-11:45pm or 12pm-12:45pm. Call to register. Bring a rough draft of your resume and have an e-mail account or USB in order to save document. Program is dependent on volunteer availability. 
 
August 16- Town of Tonawanda Coalition Community Resource Hub 12 - 3 pm. Connect with service providers in your community. Access food assistance, health insurance, substance and addiction services, employment assistance, housing, legal services, senior services and more. Get the chance to learn about and meet a mammal, bird, and reptile animal representative from Hawk Creek Wildlife Center. This program is open to ALL AGES. No registration required.
 
August 17 Toddler Time for 2's 10:15/11:15 Sessions. The Kenmore Branch Library is pleased to announce the Summer sessions of Toddler Time for 2's! Come to the Kenmore Library and bring your 2-year-old to enjoy a first story time! We'll read stories, do fingerplays, sing songs, and make a craft. For children 2 years of age with a caregiver. Due to popular demand there are 2 sessions, one at 10:15 and one at 11:15 (you may only register for one session time) Registration is required and space is limited. No registrations are accepted before July 2nd 2018.
 
August 18 - Lego Club 11 am.  Interested in building, design, or just using your imagination? It sounds like Kenmore's Lego Club is the place for you! On the 3rd Saturday of every month Lego Club will be open to all kids ages 6-12. Stop in or call the library at 873-2842 to register. We'll bring the bricks, you bring the fun!

August 20Knit / Crochet Group 12 pm. Work on your knitting or crochet projects, meet new friends, and have fun at the Kenmore Library Knit & Crochet Group. Learn new tips and tricks, or share some of your own! We meet every Monday from 12-2 PM and are open to all skill levels.
 
This program offers helpful tips to assist families with difficult conversations related to dementia, including going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans. Presented by the Alzheimer's Association of WNY. This program is free and open to the public. No registration required.
 
August 21 - Primate Sanctuary of Niagara Falls 1 pm. Join us for some “monkey business” as a representative from the Niagara Falls Primate Sanctuary introduces live primates throughout the presentation and teaches us about their unique characteristics. This program is for ALL AGES. No registration required.

August 23- Cris Johnson's Goofy Kooky Magic and Music Show 1 pm Magician Cris Johnson presents a magic show themed around different aspects of music, a fun FREE magic trick for every child who attends, an amazing music race and more! This program is for ALL AGES. No registration required.
 
To our wonderful Kenmore and Kenilworth Branch Library community- come to our very first Patron Appreciation Picnic at the Kenilworth Branch Library! We'll have hot dogs, activities, and live music by the Healing Committee! Then stay for the 3 pm magic show with Cris Johnson. No registration required. It is recommended that you bring your own blanked or chair for seating.  All ages welcome! Call 834-7657 for more information.

Backpack Raffle

The Kenmore Library Backpack Raffle.

Discover all the great items available to borrow from the Buffalo and Erie County Library System and you could win a cool backpack ! You qualify for a raffle ticket for every 5 items your check out at the branch between August 6 through September 1 2018.  Enter as many times as you like, but you must check out at least 5 items during each visit.  Bring your reciept to the desk to recieve your entry tickets.  Drawing will be held Monday, September 3, 2018.

Spotlight on the hundredth anniversary of a woman's right to vote in New York State

On Sunday, November 5, 2017, the Kenmore Village Improvement Society held a special program at the Kenmore United Methodist Church celebrating the 100th anniversary of a woman's right to vote in New York State.  There were some special guest speakers, as well as people dressed in clothing of the period, music and more!  The Town of Tonawanda Public Library Kenmore Branch created a special brochure for the event.  It contained a selection of titles available through the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library for kids and adults who want to delve deeper into this seminal time in our state and nation's history.  Download your own copy of the brochure HERE.

Libraries Rock with MyOn


MyOn digital book library

This year, as a part of Summer Reading at New York Libraries, the State Education Department and the State Library are partnering with myOn to bring free digital books to families via unlimited access to the myON digital library at school and in the local public library. The myOn digital library has a collection of over 6,000 fiction and nonfiction e-books geared toward children from birth to 8th grade, many with recorded audio and other useful features. The collection is freely available for use by all New Yorkers through September 2018.

Read Down Your Fines

Read Down Your FInes
This program is for children age 16 and under who can “read down” their library fines. Participants can receive $1.00 in READ BUCKS for every 15 minutes of reading in the library. Event runs until Saturday, September 15, 2018. READ BUCKS will be redeemable until Monday, October 8, 2018. This program is available at all Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries
