Many Buffalonians are familiar with Lily Dale, but fewer of us know that spiritualism actually has a long and rich history in Western New York. Join us for this interesting talk which will introduce the concept of spiritualism and its development in the United States before delving into its history here in WNY. You’ll learn about famous locals such as the Fox sisters and the Davenport brothers, along with others who influenced the practice of spiritualism in this area. The talk will include information about Lilydale and its place as the center of spiritualism in the United States, as well as various other local places where spiritualist events have occurred. When asked if anyone wants to try art, they usually respond that they can't even draw stick people. However, you don't need to be a professional artist to try your hand at art. The classes Cindy has had in the past provided seniors with a sketch, direction and Watercolor supplies. Time to try something new. Cindy will give you a supply list so you can get your own supplies and continue to paint on your own. Paint the flowers in your garden, paint a beautiful landscape, paint from your vacation photos. The Roadrunners Concert - Monday, June 8th from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. The Roadrunners, an oldies band that has been in existence for 25 years. Playing music from the 50s to 70s, we are a 4 piece band that has performed for festivals in the park, casinos, American Legion and VFW Posts, private parties, assisted living and nursing homes as well as libraries.
