Fall Basket Raffle (png) Presented by the Friends of the Grand Island Memorial Library.  Tuesday, October 14th thru Saturday, November 8th.  Tickets: $1 each or 6 for $5.  Enter for a chance to win a gift basket filled with gift cards, books, crafts and more!  Winners will be pulled and notified November 12th.  All proceeds benefit the Grand Island Memorial Library.

Pulitzer Prize Winning Photos and Their Stories #1 (png) Wednesday, November 12th 6:30pm-7:30pm. Presenter: Theresa Wiater.  Registration is required.  Please call 716-773-7124.  You’ve seen the photos, but have you ever wondered what the stories were behind the pictures? Who are the people in the photographs? Who took the pictures and why did they win the Pulitzer Prize? Learn the stories behind 19 amazing photos! 

  • A follow-up to this presentation (Pulitzer Prize Winning Photos and Their Stories #2) will be presented on 1/7/26.  Stay tuned for registration to open closer to the end of the year for that program. 

Shakespeare in Delaware Park: Romeo & Juliet (png)  Saturday, November 15th 12:00pm-2:15pm. Join us for a Shakespeare in Delaware Park adaptation of Romeo & Juliet.  Includes a pre-performance workshop and post-show talk with the actors!  Registration is required.  Please call 716-773-7124.

Local Author: Lou Paduano (png) Wednesday, November 19th 6:30pm-7:30pm.  A Grand Island resident, Lou Paduano has written over 20 novels, including the Greystone series of urban fantasy adventures and the conspiracy thriller series, The DSA.  Lou will be discussing his most recent books and his creative process during his visit.  Registration is required. Trunk or Treat 2025(pdf) Saturday, October 18 from 12 pm to 2 pm. All ages. It's back! This year's Trunk or Treat will be featuring trick or treating, crafts, and more family fun! Trick or treat from car to car, trunk to trunk. Crafts, stories, and photo booth in the library. Registration is *not* required!

LEGO Club(pdf) Saturdays at 1 pm: September 6, October 4, November 1, December 6. Ages 4 to 12. Join us each month for a free LEGO build. The LEGOS are provided. Just bring your imagination! Registration is required. Stop in or call 716-773-7124 to register.

I'm A Little Smoke Dancer: Local Author Storytime(pdf) Saturday, November 22 at 1 pm. All ages! Join Local Children’s Author Darelyn Spruce for an immersive story event! There will be a reading of her book, I’m A Little Smoke Dancer, live smoke dance presentation, and a craft. Registration is required. Registration begins November 21. Papa's Cookies Storytime(pdf) Saturday, December 6 at pm. Ages 3 to 8 with a caregiver. Graham Cracker Houses: Family Workshop(pdf) Saturday, December 20 at 2 pm. Ages 5 and up - 1 member of the team MUST be an adult. Presented by The Storybook Cook, teams of 2 - 4 will work together to decorate a graham cracker house & decorate holiday cookies! Registration is required. Registration begins November 21. Noon Year's Eve Glow Party(pdf) Wednesday, December 31 at 11:30 am. Ages 3 to 8.
