Comic Book Club

Thursday October 9th from 5-6:30PM

Comic Book Club is back! Stop in with the book you are currently reading - we'll talk about all of our books and the best new Graphic Novels the library has gotten! In Comic Book Club we draw, write, brainstorm & illustrate stories and play games together. A perfect space for comic lovers to come and hang out! Best for kids in grades 3-6. Children's Storytime & Craft

Saturday October 18th at 10am

Join us as we read The Dark by Lemony Snicket, a story about a young boy overcoming his fear of the dark. After, we will be creating our own magic flashlight craft! Please note we will be using permanent markers for the craft, come in craft clothes. This event is recommended for families with children ages 8 & under.  This event is free and open to the public. Wednesday October 22nd 

5pm -7pm

Join us for a family friendly Halloween event at the Orchard Park Library & OP Train Depot. There will be a dance party and crafts inside the Library and a Trunk-or-Treat event held on the lawn in front of the OP Train Depot. Participants can sign up to just attend the Library Party & Trunk-or-Treat, OR participants can sign up for extra fun and register to be Trunkers too! 

What are Trunkers?!

Trunkers are the folks who bring the spooky magic by decorating their vehicles and handing out candy to kids! Registering as a Trunker requires an additional registration. This is a FREE all-ages event. Registration is required. Stop in or call 716-662-9851 to sign up.

Family Craft Night

Tuesday, October 28th 6-7PM

This program is intended for children ages 6-12 years old to attend with a caregiver. For this session, we will be making Haunted House Puppet Shows with paper plates, popsicle sticks, and construction paper. This craft is a great exercise in tracing and scissor skills! Saturday October 25th

2pm-4pm

Start or continue your Pokemon Journey! Share, trade and battle with Pokemon cards! Learn how to play and build decks under the Unlimited Format. The library provides pre-built decks to play with at the program but attendees may also bring their own cards and decks from home. Open to kids in grades K-8. Kids in grades 2 & under must be accompanied by a caregiver. Register in person, by phone at 716-662-9851 or online. Click here to sign up online.

Halloween Movie Night @ the Depot

Thursday, October 30th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM

All Ages

Mark your calendars for this month's Halloween Movie Night at the Depot! We will be showing the SINGALONG version of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas!

The movie will be shown rain or shine under the awning at the Train Depot. Park in the library parking lot. Light snacks and hot chocolate will be served. Train depot restrooms will be available. Lawn chair, blankets, and bug spray are recommended and costumes are encouraged!

For teens in grades 7-12.

Join us at the Orchard Park Public Library to make "upcycled" ghost paintings and decorate pumpkins!

Join the OPK Teen Book Club -- we meet monthly to discuss a YA title!
