New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Taxpayer Assistance Program
Every Friday February 6th through April 10th from 9:15am-4:30pm BY APPOINTMENT
Registration for this program begins on Tuesday January 13th. Tax Department employees will guided you step-by-step as you complete your own tax returns at no charge using secure online tax software. It's quick and easy! You qualify for assistance if you:
- Earned $89,000 or less in 2025 (filing as an individual or family)
- Have basic computer skills.
- Have an active email account.

Adult Craft Night
Wednesday, February 18th 5:00-7:00 PM
Join us for an evening of crafting for adults (17+). For this craft night, we will make 2-3 foot long felt garlands which are perfect for a doorway.

Special Musical Performance: The Vibrant Strings

Vibrant Strings is a violin sibling trio. Vibrant Strings has over 20 years of learning and performing on their instrument. They are classically trained; the group plays all genres of music such as classical, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, gospel, and more!

(By Appointment)
Appointments can be made for 30-60 Minute sessions for one-on-one computer tech assistance.
We do not offer trouble-shooting services on any personal devices.

Calling all teens! Join the OPK Teen Advisory Group's Teen Book Club -- we meet MONTHLY and discuss a YA title at alternating meetings!
February's book will be voted on at January's meeting.

ALIEN ESCAPE!
An Escape Room Presented by the Orchard Park Library's Teen Advisory Group
February 14th -- February 21st
Mark your calendars for our Winter Escape Room! "Alien Escape!" is designed and hosted by the Orchard Park Public Library's Teen Advisory Group and will run Saturday, February 14th through Saturday, February 21st during open hours.
Breaking out of the Escape Room takes about 45 minutes and it's free! Groups can be up to 6 members at a time. Participants under 13 must be accompanied by an adult in the escape room.

Orchard Park Library Winter Baby & Toddler Storytimes
Registration beings Monday December 15th. You can sign up in person or by phone. Registration will guarantee a spot for each class for the 6 week session. Storytime session will run from January 5th through February 13th.
Monday Baby Storytime
Mondays at 10am
Join Miss Kasey for a gentle introduction to storytime with books, songs and activities for babies 24 months & under.
Monday Toddler Storytime
Mondays at 11am
Join Miss Kasey for an introduction to storytime with books, music & movement for toddlers ages 24-36 months.
Friday Toddler Storytime
Fridays at 10am
Join Miss Sam for a gentle introduction to storytime with books, songs and activities for toddlers age 36 months & under.

Preschool (Age 3-5) Winter Storytime 2026
Tuesdays at 10am OR Thursdays at 10am
Preschool Storytime is a 6 week program on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 10am. Storytimes being Tuesday January 6th and run through Thursday February 14th. Registration begins Monday December 15th. Tuesday's session is for child and adult caregiver to attend together. Thursday's session is suited to children that are ready for more independence, and the child remains in the meeting room while the adult caregiver enjoys the Library. Please choose only one day to attend.

Comic Book Club
Thursday February 5th from 5:00 - 6:30 PM
Comic Book Club is back! Stop in with the book you are currently reading, we'll talk about all of our books and the best new Graphic Novels the library has gotten! In Comic Book Club we draw, write and illustrate stories and play games together. A perfect space for comic lovers to come and hang out! Best for kids in grades 3-6. Registration is required. Meet & Greet with Siberian Huskies
Saturday February 7th at 1 PM
As the Alaskan Iditarod race draws near, stop in and visit with real Siberian Huskies! Find out what goes in to caring for a team of sled dogs and what racing on the trail is like! From about 1pm-1:15pm there will be a discussion about the care and training of the dogs, then the dogs will be brought into the library for demonstrations and for socializing with attendees. This meet & greet is an all ages event, no registration is required.

Orchard Park Library Evening Family Storytime
Thursday February 26th at 6:30 PM
Join us for stories, songs and activities for families with children ages 8 & under. Older siblings are always welcome. Children can feel free to wear jammies and bring a stuffed animal for extra coziness. We'll meet up on Thursday evenings at 6:30PM on January 22nd, February 26th, March 16th, April 16th, May 14th and June 18th. Call or stop in to sign up!

Pokemon Club
Saturday February 7th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Start or continue your Pokemon Journey! Share, trade and battle with Pokemon cards! Learn how to play and build decks under the Unlimited Format. The library provides pre-built decks to play with at the program but attendees may also bring their own cards and decks from home. Open to kids in grades K-8. Castle Construction: An Engineering Challenge presented by Explore & More
Tuesday February 17th at 1:00 PM
Welcome to Medieval Times! This lesson will take learners back to the Middle Ages, and talk about all things castles. Participants will construct their own castle model and have a chance to lay siege with catapults! Best for kids in grades K-5. Registration is required.

Animals of the World presented by Mark Carra
Thursday February 19th at 1:00 PM
Join us for a journey around the world with 12 different animal ambassadors presented by educator Mark Carra. Learn how these animals are adapted to their natural environment and how humans are connected to all living things! Best for families with children ages 4-12.
