Beginning Monday, July 13, Buffalo & Erie County Public Library cardholders will need to enter their library card number and PIN for use of Libby/OverDrive to borrow resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines.

The enhanced verification measure is being implemented to protect your privacy and improve security.  

The PIN is the same PIN you created for use to sign into your library “My Account.” 

  • If you have an email address but you do not remember your PIN, click here now and go to the “Forgot my Pin” link to change or create your PIN:  https://tinyurl.com/BfloLibChangePin .  
  • OR, you can visit any of the 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Library locations with your valid ID and staff will assist you to get or update a PIN.  See library open hours here: https://www.buffalolib.org/hours/otd.php 
  • Questions, visit a library or call 716-858-8900 during open hours.

OverDrive, and its app Libby, offer a wide range of eBooks and eAudiobooks in all genres. Downloads work with most devices. (Magazines can also be downloaded. Details here).
Libby Mascot Download and borrow materials for 7 or 14 days—your choice. Borrow up to 20 items at a time.

OverDrive

OverDrive

OverDrive offers a wide range of eBooks and eAudiobooks in all genres as well as magazines.  OverDrive works with web browsers on computers and most other devices, but does not allow for downloading.  The OverDrive app is no longer available. We recommend switching to the easy-to-use Libby app.
