- Handicraft Club (pdf)- Join our handicraft club on Mondays from 1:30-3:30pm. We welcome all sorts of handicrafts including knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, and needlework. - Lego Club (pdf)- Saturday, September 5th and 19th from 11am-12:30pm. For ages 5 to 12. Free build with single-person Lego bins and selectable mini figures. Space will be limited and registration is required. Please call 716-674-2928 or stop by the library to register!
- Book a Technology Trainer (pdf)- Need computer assistance? We can help! These free 45 minutes sessions are designed to assist with software support or Internet training. Our next sessions will take place on Tuesday, September 8th between 11am and 5pm. Topics include training on the Microsoft Office suite and even how to download books onto your tablet or phone. Sessions are on the hour. Space will be limited and registration is required. Please call 716-674-2928 or stop by the library to register!
- Senior Sunshine Senders: Card Making (pdf)- Help the Senior Sunshine Senders brighten someone's day! They create greeting cards at the West Seneca Public Library on the third Tuesday of each month, and donate them to Elder Care Facilities in West Seneca, Hamburg, and Cheektowaga (coming soon to Tonawanda!). - Kid's Fuse Beads (pdf)- Thursday, September 17th from 5pm-6:30pm. Choose a design and create your own decorations with Perler Beads! Recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 6 years old must be attended by an adult. All materials will be provided by the library. Space will be limited and registration is required. - Grandparent Scams (pdf)- Join Deception Awareness and Resilience Training (DART) for an informative session on Grandparent Scams- where the bad guys pretend to be a loved one to gain your trust. TAG members will help provide insight on how to better serve teens, help plan and implement programs, meet new people, and gain volunteer hours, experience, and leadership skills. - 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony (pdf)- This 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony is a graduation for those little ones who have completed the reading challenge! It will take place on Saturday, September 26th at 10:30am! Attendance at this program requires both registration for and completion of the 1000 Books reading challenge. Program registration for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten must be done in person. Final reading logs turned in by September 11th will be eligible to graduate. If eligible, you will receive a call with more information. Graduation will have a little ceremony, a craft, and some light refreshments. Graduates will receive a certificate and a free book.

- Mary Marino Kozub: A Genius in our Backyard: Charles Burchfield (pdf)- On Saturday, October 3rd at 11am during Burchfest, Mary Marino Kozub will be giving a presentation on Charles Burchfield. Explore the remarkable artistic genius of Charles E. Burchfield through paintings inspired by the landscape and experiences of West Seneca. This presentation reveals how Burchfield transformed familiar places, seasonal changes, and the rhythms of nature into powerful and deeply expressive works of art. Through his extraordinary vision, the ordinary landscape became something magical, mysterious, and alive. Space will be limited and registration is required. - Young Makers Society (pdf)- Beginning in October 2026, kids ages 6-12 can join Miss Emily for our new Young Makers Society. Session dates for Fall/Winter 2026 are: Monday, October 12th and 19th, November 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd, and December 7th and 14th. All sessions take place at 5:30pm. Young Makers Society will be 8-session programs, each focusing on an aspect of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Each session during Fall/Winter 2026, participants will explore an Engineering Topic through stories and a hands-on challenge. The final session, held December 14th, will be a showcase where students will show their families what they learned. Registering for this program signs your child up for all 8 of the sessions! - Potion Creation Station (Drop In) (pdf)- Drop in any time between 11am and 2pm on Saturday, October 31st for a super fun potion creation program. This program is recommended for those ages 4 and up, and we recommend dressing to get messy! Participants will use storytelling and counting skills while playing to create a potion and recipe. Friends of the West Seneca Public Library
The Friends of the West Seneca Public Library are community members with an interest in supporting the services offered by the library. The Friends also provide funding for books, programs and supplies for children and adults.
The Friends have an ongoing fundraiser! Purchase a personalized, hand-carved wooden book which will be displayed in the library over the fireplace! Full details here (pdf).
