The West Seneca Public Library is OPEN to the public!

Masks are not required, but are encouraged.  Eating is not permitted but beverages with lids are welcome.

July 2022

  • Knitting & Crochet Circle-  Mondays from 1:30-3:00 PM (in-person program).  Space will be limited.  Social distancing will be practiced.  Masks are not required, but are encouraged.

  • Dungeons & Dragons Club-  Saturdays from 1:30 PM-3:30 PM.  For ages 12 and up.  Registration is required.  Participants must bring their own set of dice.  Masks are not required, but are encouraged.  Volunteer DMs are welcome as player slots are limited by DM availability.  Please call the library at 716-674-2928 for more information.

  • Tuesday Story-Time- Tuesdays at 6:30 PM on July 5th, 12th, and 19th! Stories and fun with Miss Emily. Space will be limited and registration is required.   • Sea and Nature Crafts-  Thursdays at 1 PM on July 7th, 14th, and 21st! Stories, crafting, and fun with Miss Emily!   • Painting for Teens- Thursday, July 7th, from 5:00-6:30 PM. For ages 12 to 17.   • CSPAN Lab of UB- The CSPAN Lab will be at the library on Saturday, July 9th from 11 AM-2 PM. The Cognition, Speech Perception, and Auditory Neuroscience (CSPAN) Lab of UB will be coming to the West Seneca Public Library to conduct a brief research study! Participation involves completion of a behavioral task on the computer or iPad and takes about 20-30 minutes. Visitors ages 7 and up may be eligible. Parents must be briefly present in order for children to participate!

  • Jackie Albarella: Ten Years Later: The Hotel Lafayette- Monday, July 11th from 6:30-7:30pm.   • American Red Cross Blood Drive- July 12th from 12pm-5pm. The Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive in the large Community Room at the West Seneca Public Library. Please call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org to schedule an appointment.

  • Paws of Love SPCA-  Wednesday, July 27th from 1 PM - 3 PM. Come read to a dog for one of our 15 minute sessions! They're very good listeners. Friends of the West Seneca Public Library

The Friends of the West Seneca Public Library are community members with an interest in supporting the services offered by the library. The Friends also provide funding for books, programs and supplies for children and adults.  

The Friends have an ongoing fundraiser!  Purchase a personalized, hand-carved wooden book which will be displayed in the library over the fireplace!  Full details here.

West Seneca School Yearbook Collection

The West Seneca Public Library now has several West Seneca school yearbooks available for in-library use.  A list of the volumes included in the collection (along with volumes that we do not yet have) can be found HERE.
