Summer Reading List

If you do not see your school represented, please contact your school directly to acquire your school's current list. Your school may have assignments related to the reading list.  Please check with your school for those details.

Buffalo & Erie County Public Library has most of the titles on School Reading lists, but in limited quantity. To ensure that you are able to get the title wanted put in holds early in the Summer. Books may also be found on Libby or Overdrive, our ebook catalog. 

If you need books in braille or audio format and the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library does not have a copy, please consider looking at the New York State Talking Book and Braille Library(TBBL). To order titles, you may contact TBBL, request books through their online catalog, or download titles instantly through BARD. If you do not have a BARD account, please visit the BARD registration page.

Summer Reading Lists for 2026 will be added as the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library receives them from the schools. If you are looking for a list from 2025 or earlier please reach out to your desired school district.
