Appointments

The Rare Book Room is open for researchers Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4:30 pm. Appointments are required to study items from the Rare Book Room. We request patrons call at least one business day ahead (716) 858-8900. Please have the item title and/or call number ready when making an appointment.

Location

For appointments, please go to the reference desk in the Grosvenor Room on the first floor of the Central Library; the Rare Book reader area is adjacent to the Grosvenor Room.

The Rare Book Room exhibit area is located on the first floor of the Central Library at the top of the escalators. Exhibits are open during regular library hours. No appointments are needed to view the current exhibit.
