Located on Route 5 (Lake Shore Road) between Cloverbank Road and Kennison Parkway. Wheelchair accessible with parking and entrances on both sides of the building.

The Lake Shore Public Library offers wonderful views of Lake Erie from a convenient location. Pop in for a quick pick from our updated collection or stick around for a fabulous sunset. Our friendly staff is always available to answer your questions or offer a suggestion.

7 Public Access Computers and 2 Laptops; printing is 10¢ per page for black and white and 25¢ for color. Includes Microsoft Office Applications and Internet Access. For more information, see "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

Self Check-Out stations featuring RFID technology.

Drop Box depository to return library material 24/7.

Meeting Room available upon request. Seating capacity is 46.

We will continue to offer Curbside/Walkup service as an option. To place orders, call the library at 627-3017.

The hold system is still active and any available holds can be picked up using curbside service. Before placing a hold, it is recommended for patrons to check the online catalog for available items at

Astronomy Night

Wednesday, September 29 at 7 pm

Join Penn Dixie Fossil Park & Nature Preserve at Lake Shore Library for an out-of-this-world experience! 

Astronomers will map the night sky for you — including stars, planets, constellations, and deep space objects — using telescopes and specialized equipment. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, warm clothing, and blankets.


Story Time at Lake Shore Library

Join Miss Stephanie every Tuesday at 10 am for Story Time!  Ages 3-6 welcome, no registration necessary.  See our Facebook Events page for weekly themes and crafts.  Story Time runs from September 14-October 19.

Lego Club


The last Saturday of every month from 1-3 pm.

Build. Create. Play! with Lego Club

We have regular Legos and large Duplos--so it's perfect for all ages! Afterwards, your creations will be on display in the library. No registration is required.

Kids Take and Make Crafts

The Lake Shore Library has take and make crafts with seasonal themes!  Each kit includes everything you need to make the craft (except glue). 

No registration, first come first served.

Memory Kits

Do you have a friend or family member with Alzheimer's/dementia?  Do you work in an assisted living facility or nursing home?  If so, the Lake Shore Library now has Memory Kits!

What are Memory Kits?  Memory Kits feature a variety of items to inspire memories, discussions, and interaction with people with memory loss issues.  Each kit comes with DVDs, CDs, games, and activities.  We also have a game backpack filled with fun activities to get people talking, laughing, and engaging their minds.  Kits can be checked out for one week with one renewal.  Please view our Circulation Guidelines for more information.
