    Features:

    23 Public Access Computers

    All computers are networked, including 2 laptops with wireless printing and a workstation with a flatbed scanner available. All computers have Microsoft Office 2007 Applications, Internet Access, Misc. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

    Printing 10 cents B&W per page, 25 cents color per page.

    Community Display Case

    Community members are encouraged to reserve a spot in the Display Case by filling out a Display Case Reservation form available to download below. The dimensions of the display case are 68 inches wide, 40 inches tall and 10 inches deep. Up to two removable glass shelves are available by request. The display case features florescent lighting and a lock for security.

    Meeting Room

    Capacity 49, room dimensions 23 ft x 22.5 ft. Wireless internet access point in room for excellent WiFi. Meeting room is also equipped for multimedia presentations. Used for library programs, available for use by nonprofit organizations (registration required call 662-9851).     The Orchard Park Library has spaces available for a variety of uses from quiet study areas to tables for homework help or personal computing.

    Mobile Device Charging Stations

    The Orchard Park Library has recently added two mobile device charging stations so you can charge your device while you work in the library.

    Black & White Copy Machine

    For your convenience the Orchard Park Library also has a black & white copy machine. Copies are 15 cents each for 8.5 X 11in (letter sized), copies 30 cents each for 8.5 X 14in (legal sized)

    What's Special About the Orchard Park Library

    Located adjacent to the historic 1920s Railroad Depot Station, the Orchard Park Library serves southern Erie County as a center for reference and homework help with its large non-fiction collection. It has an extensive fiction, DVD and audio book collection. The children's collection is highlighted by innovative special displays and an interactive play area.  A chessboard is available for public use.

    Special programs for all ages, story times for children and computer classes are offered continually.

    And finally and most importantly, it is our knowledgeable and responsive staff that makes our library so effective, friendly and welcoming.

    Our Friends of the Orchard Park Public Library is the largest and most active Friends group in Erie County. They sponsor the 4th Tuesday speaker series, many of our special children's programs, donated book sales, an annual rare book sale and ongoing Book Nook, Book Cart and online book sales.  Guidelines for book sale donations may be found here:

    Up to five (5) medium sized boxes or bags will be accepted once per day.  Friends have purchased many shelves, display units and other equipment that make this library so special.       Fall Storytimes at the Orchard Park Library Baby Storytime Mondays at 10am, Toddler Storytimes Mondays at 11am, Preschool Storytimes Mondays at 10am and Independent Preschool Storytimes Thursdays at 10am. Programs run from September 9th through October 18th. Registration is required. Call 716-662-9851 to sign up.

      Orchard Park Library Fall Storytimes

      Registration begins August 19th, 2024. You can sign up in person or by phone. Registration will guarantee a spot for the six week session. Storytime Session will run from September 9th through October 17th. 

      Baby Storytime takes place each Monday from September 9th through October 14th at 10am. Join us for a gentle introduction to storytime with books, songs and activities for babies 24 months & under. Registration is required - please stop in the library or call 716-662-9851 to sign up. 

      Toddler Storytime takes place each Monday from September 9th through October 14th at 11am. Join us for an introduction to storytime with books and plenty of rhyming, music and movement for toddlers aged 2. Registration is required - please stop in the library or call 716-662-9851 to sign up. 

      Preschool Storytime for kids ages 5 & under takes place each Tuesday from September 10th through October 15th at 10am. Join us for a storytime with songs, activites and books! This program is tailored for children ages 3-5, however any child under the age of 5 is welcome to try it out and of course siblings of any age are always welcome. Registration is required - please stop in the library or call 716-662-9851 to sign up. 

      Independent Preschool Storytimes will take place each Thursday from September 12th through October 17th at 10am. Join us for stories activities & songs tailored for kids ages 3-5. In order to foster school readiness and independence, children attend storytime while caregivers enjoy the library. Registration is required, stop by the library or call us at 716-662-9851 to sign up. 

      Orchard Park Library Evening Family Storytime

      Wednesdays at 6:30PM on September 4th, October 2nd, November 6th, December 4th

      Join us for stories, songs, and activities for families with children ages 8 & under. Older siblings are always welcome. Children can feel free to wear jammies and bring a stuffed animal for extra coziness. Call 716-662-9851 or stop in to sign up. 


      Comic Book Club at the Orchard Park Library

       Join us on Wednesday October 9th at 5pm

      Comic book club has a new format for fall 2024, kids can bring any kind of book they are currently reading. We'll talk about the best NEW graphic novels that the library has to offer, we'll play games, do crafts and draw comics of our own. A perfect space for comic lovers to come and hang out.       LEGO Club at the Orchard Park Library

      Saturday September 14th at 12pm or 3pm

      Pokemon Club! 

      Monday September 23rd from 3:30pm-5pm and/or Start or continue your Pokemon journey! Share, trade & battle with Pokemon cards! Learn how to play and build decks under the Unlimited Format. The library provides pre-built decks to play with at the program but attendees may also bring their own cards and decks from home.  Open to kids in grades K - 8. Kids in grades 2 & under must be accompanied by a caregiver. You may register for one or both Pokemon Club meetups!

      Terrarium Building 

      Terrarium Building family craft night will take place on Tuesday September 24th at 6pm. Join us for a family craft night to build terrariums at the Orchard Park Public Library! This program is intended for a child to attend with a guardian. Registration is required and all supplies are provided. Please call 716-662-9851 to sign up. 

       

      TEEN PROGRAMS

      Orchard Park Public Library's Teen Advisory Group 

      Monday October 7th from 6-7pm

      The advisory group will assist with programming craft preparation, gain volunteer hours and experience and meet new people and gain leadership skills. For Teens ages 13-17. Registration is required, stop in or call us to sign up.

      October Teen Book Box registration runs from September 1st through 15th 2024. Fill out the book box application online or in person at the library, must be in grades 7-12.

      If you haven’t done our Book Box program before - it's simple! Ever heard of subscription services like “OwlCrate” or “Book of the Month?” Our Book Boxes are a lot like that… but FREE!  Enjoy a box full of library books hand-picked for you and packaged up with snacks and other surprises! Return the box and the books after three weeks, but keep everything else! Pickup for the October Book Boxes will be the first week of October(October 1st - 8th).       Dare to Repair Café!

      Saturday, October 19th 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

      "Fix it. Don't Ditch it!"

      Dare to repair are pop-up community events where individuals can bring broken items and have a team of volunteer fixers try to repair the item alongside then FOR FREE!

      Current repair categories include small appliances, lamps, electronics, bicycles, computers, sewing machines, clothing, and textiles. Please no gas powered items or TVs.

      Join us for a creative evening!

      BRING YOUR OWN PUMPKIN and enjoy an evening of creativity, laughter, and fun while decorating pumpkins for the Fall season with fellow garden enthusiasts.

      SOME MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED

      Seedlings will graciously supply you with dried moss and live succulents. Please bring your own glue gun if you can. Some will be provided on a limited supply.
