    Located at the corner of Chapel and Delaware Road, one mile south of Sheridan Drive. Wheelchair accessible. Parking lot available. 

    Public access computers: 42 public access computers (3 Children's PCs, 2 Young Adult PCs, 29 Adult PCs, 6 Laptops and 2 OPACs), networked (printing 10 cents per page for black & white, 25 cents per page for color), Microsoft Office applications, Internet access.  Free WiFi available. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

    An Optalec ClearView Video Magnifier (pdf) is available in the library's magazine area on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    There are two meeting rooms at the Kenmore Library available for library programs and use by nonprofit organizations and groups. The larger room has a capacity of 47 people and the smaller room has a capacity of 25 people. Meeting rooms will be assigned for use based on availability and room capacity. A meeting room application must be completed.

    The Kenmore Library has three Study Rooms available on a first come, first served basis. Two of the study rooms can accommodate up to 5 people, and the small study room can accommodate up to 2 people.

    A Display Case is available for use by nonprofit organization and groups.  A Display Case/Exhibit Case Application must be completed.

    Copy Machine - Black and White copies are 15 cents each.

    Self Service Fax Machine -Faxes cost $1.75 for the first page and an additional $1 per page. You can use your credit or debit card or purchase a fax card at the circulation desk.

      Stop by for a special intergenerational playtime with visitors from Brookdale Senior Living!
      Kids can color, read stories, play games, or build with LEGOs—all while making new friends and sharing joyful moments across generations.

      This relaxed, drop-in event takes place upstairs in the teen area and is a wonderful way to connect, build community, and have fun together.
      No registration required—just come and play!

       Be a Kid Librarian!

      Do you have a child between the ages of 6 and 12 who loves books?  Then they can apply to become a Kid Librarian!  As a Kid Librarian your child will have the chance to create their very own book display- choosing a theme (or going totally random!) with as much or as little help as needed from Jill, one of our Grown-Up Librarians.

      Applications are available in the children's area or at the information desk.  Once submitted, we'll reach out to schedule a time for your child to put their display together.  Stop by or call the library if you have any questions or need more information.  We can't wait to see the creative displays your kids come up with!

       


      Lucky Rainbows

      Join us for Lucky Rainbows, a St. Patrick’s Day celebration filled with sweet and silly read alouds, followed by a fun and colorful shamrock craft.

      Seasonal Story Time Sessions

      Enjoy an interactive story time with engaging stories, songs, and a fun craft.  Offered Seasonally for different age groups and times.  Registration is required and spots can fill up quickly so save the date for when the next session's sign ups begin! 

      Our Spring Story Time Sessions will be held from the second week in April through the fourth Week in May

      Join us for a delightful session designed just for our TWO-RRIFIC friends!  This engaging story time features singing, laughing, reading and playful activities tailored for toddlers.  Registration Required.

       

      Baby Bounce Story Time (ages 3-23 months) (REGISTRATION opens March 16)

      A special story time just for babies ages 3 to 23 months! We’ll share songs, rhymes, a short book, and sensory play designed for little ones and their caregivers. Space is limited, so registration is required.

      Tax season update for our community:

      We’ve been informed that all appointments are now full for the upcoming tax assistance program taking place at the Kenmore Library.

      If you are still in need of assistance, please call 2-1-1 to learn about other free tax preparation sites and available resources in the area.

      AARP will offer free tax preparation by appointment beginning Monday, February 2, and continuing each Monday and Wednesday through April 15.
      No appointments will be held on Presidents Day, February 16.

      To schedule an appointment or get more information, call 2-1-1 and choose option 5 for free tax assistance.

      Time Capsule in Your Backyard

      Presentation and Antique Appraisal Event

      Saturday, February 28 

      Ever wonder what everyday life looked like a century ago? Join us for a fascinating presentation exploring the hidden “time capsules” beneath our feet. Learn about artifacts excavated from privies and outhouse pits across Western New York and what they reveal about the past. Topics include how to locate a privy, why people discarded household items there, the history of local glasshouses, and how to date antique bottles.

      The presentation includes a large display of artifacts such as bottles, chamber pots, clay smoking pipes, marbles, doll heads, coins, stoneware, china, and more.

      Free Antique Appraisal Event:
      2:00–4:00 pm
      Registration is required to have an item appraised. One item per household. Items must be easily carried; no large furniture. Space is limited.

      The Spiritualist & the Suffragist

      Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from  6:00–7:00 pm

      Discover the fascinating ties between Spiritualism and the fight for women’s rights. This engaging presentation explores the origins of the Spiritualist Movement, which began right here in Western New York, the story of the Fox Sisters, and the evolution of mediumship as the 19th century gave way to the 20th.

      Learn how physical mediumship offered women a rare path to independence at a time when professional opportunities were limited, and how the Spiritualist Movement intersected with the Suffragist and broader Women’s Rights movements. Guests will also have the opportunity to see an authentic spirit trumpet used during a séance.

      Presented by Amanda Woomer, author, lecturer, and museum curator.

      Identity Theft, presented by M&T Bank

This session will cover how to recognize the warning signs of identity theft and fraud, explore the different types of identity theft, and share practical strategies for safeguarding your personal information.       Attention job seekers! In partnership with the New York State Department of Labor, the Kenmore Library is hosting a Job Fair on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

      Meet local employers face to face, explore new career paths, and make meaningful connections. No registration is required.

      Our volunteer Computer Coach and Resume Helper will also be on site to offer support, tips, and quick guidance.

      Professional attire is recommended. Please bring several copies of your resume.

      Make a Mug Rug!

      Turn a handful of yarn into a tiny tapestry for your table. In this hands on workshop, you will learn a simple weaving technique and create your own one of a kind mug rug, perfect for guarding your desk from coffee rings and tea drips. No experience needed, just a little curiosity and a free morning.
