Location

In the heart of the Village of Williamsville, in the middle of the village, we are between Cayuga Road and Ellicott Creek (just west of Mill Street). Facing the Library on Main Street, Amherst Town Hall (Municipal Building) is to our left and Williamsville Village Hall is to our right. The Library is situated in front of the entrance to Island Park, and is within walking distance from Glen Falls Park. 

There is parking behind the Library, accessible through Cayuga Drive, or the driveway between the Library and Town Hall.

    For adults, 7 desktop computers and 2 laptops for in-library use -- with Microsoft Office Applications (2016), Internet Access, etc.; Flatbed scanner available;
    2 computers dedicated for the Online Catalog;
    4 computers dedicated for youth;
    Printing and Mobile Printing charges: Black & White 10 cents per page, Color 25 cents per page. "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

  • Meeting Room, capacity 31. Please review the Library Meeting Room Policy prior to booking, there are 5 tables & 20 chairs available for use. Please note that capacity does not take into account chairs or tables. Groups may specify setup needs, but are responsible for final placement. There is a TV with HDMI capabilities and its use must be requested at time of reservation.
  • Copy machine, black & white only, 20¢ per copy
  • Self check-out machine using RFID technology.
  • Drop box attached to building.
  • Ongoing book sale in hallway. 

What's Special About the Amherst Public Library

  • We host a wide variety of events for all ages.
  • We offer a variety of non-print materials, including DVDs/Blu-Rays, audiobooks on CD and many genres of music CDs. The Amherst Libraries also have a Library of Things collection and read-along books for youth (VOX & Wonderbooks).
  • The children’s area has small area for play, in addition to a variety of books for youth of all ages.

          
  • The adjacent Mural Garden Pocket Park is an ideal spot to read, admire art, and enjoy the multitude of plants maintained by the Williamsville Beautification Committee.
